GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME CLASS BITCH – NO ENTRIES
Thank you to the exhibitors who supported my first appointment at CC level & took my placing with good grace. From a small entry there were some stunning dogs & promising puppies & my major placings were all a credit to the breed. There is a wide variation in size with some needing a longer length of leg to complete the balanced Keeshond outline. There is a danger of breeding for ultra short bodies to the detriment of the overall standard for the breed. The breed should be elegant in outline which both my CC winners were. All had good mouths with correct bite.
MPD (2) 1 Hill’s Plymkees Cool Dude, good sized youngster of 8 months, well balanced with good length of leg & neck, well ribbed with good muscle tone, lovely head with good balance of skull to muzzle & small dark eye, neat harsh jacket of rich colouring, well set tail with good plume. A bit of a handful but can move well when he settles to the job. Should have promising future; 2 Bennett’s Zandvoort Dream Stone, 8 months & different type to 1 with longer coat of good colour & contrast, lovely head with dark eyes & well set ears, enough neck on well laid shoulders, short coupled, well ribbed & muscled, neat feet, moved well.
PD (2) 1 Wadmore-Smith’s Hunnivoles Woody Valentine, good sized dog of 11 months, well balanced with good length of leg & well laid shoulders & with excellent spring of rib, good bone with neat catlike feet, pleasing head with good wedge & dark oblique eyes, good length of muzzle, harsh coat of good colour & contrast, well plumed high set tail, moved well. BP; 2 Burwin & Tedrow’s Hoadsberg Alexei, smaller well balanced dog, good coat with beautiful silver colouring with good markings, attractive head with good length of muzzle & neat ears, dark eyes, enough neck & well laid shoulders, slightly longer than 1, well set tail, moved well, one to watch as he matures.
JD (2) 1 H Woody Valentine.
YD (2) 1 Wells’ Allforus Hubba Bubba of Belanisiya, good sized dog with rich dark jacket of good texture, well balanced head with neat ears & dark eye, good length of neck with good arch, well ribbed body, well set & plumed tail, moved well; 2 Wilkin’s Whizzkees Onyx Sampson, smaller dog, ultra short body with deep chest & excellent muscle. Tail not as high set as 1. Balanced head with dark eye & well set ears, coming back into coat of good colour & harsh texture, moved well.
PGD (4) 1 CC & BOB, Wilkin’s Pommary Quick Silver at Whizzkees, very attractive dog of correct size with beautiful outline, excellent wedge shaped head with correct ratio of muzzle to foreface & well set neat ears, small oblique eye with soft Keesy expression, correct bite, excellent well arched neck leading into good lay of shoulder & deep well ribbed body with short loin, good length of leg with neat cat feet, high set well plumed tail, harsh coat of good colour & well defined markings. Movement is excellent both ways & he has an easy gait which is a joy to watch, used to advantage in the big ring where he went G2; 2 Brunt’s Sueacres Iced Diamond of Zandvoort, different type to 1 but another promising youngster, short coupled with good spring of rib, well balanced head with dark eye & neat ears, well arched neck with good lay of shoulder, good bone & neat feet, moved well. Left his undercoat at home; 3 Henman & Peterson’s Foxifayre Doctor Zhivago
LD (1) 1 Hopkin’s Helkeesen Regal Surfer among Serenaubach, good sized dog of clear silver colouring, balanced outline, head well balanced with dark eye & good earset, enough neck, very short coupled, deep well sprung ribs, good bone & neat feet, tail well plumed & high set, moved out well.
OD (4) 3 lovely dogs. 1 RCC, Bennett & Savage’s Ch Thorsdale Trademark, a favourite of mine, quality dog, short coupled, beautiful head with good stop & skull to foreface ratio, small dark oblique eyes with well set small ears giving the soft Kees expression, harsh coat of good colour & contrast, moved true both ways with the brisk Keeshond gait; 2 Day’s Ch Allforus Dice Master for Spitzcav, another lovely dog, a little longer than 1 but with excellent neck, shoulder placement & depth of rib, head well balanced with dark eye & well set ears, good bone & lovely clean catlike feet, good coat of clear colour & well defined markings. Movement good but not quite the definite rear movement of 1; 3 Brunt’s Zandvoort Dream Machine.
GCD (1) 1 A Hubba Bubba of B.
MPB (1) 1 Hopkins’ Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach, just 6 months & what a poppet, feminine head with good balance & sweet expression, good stop, dark eyes, well set ears, very short coupled with sufficient neck & clean legs & feet, well set double curled tail, coat of good texture with beautiful silver colouring, moved well for one so young. Do hope she grows on a little.
PB (3) 1 Austin’s Chotahkees Truly Gorgeous, short coupled well balanced body with harsh coat of good texture & colour, feminine head with good balance, small oblique eyes & neat well set ears, good length of neck, deep chest, well boned legs, neat feet, high set well plumed tail, moved out well; 2 Matthews’ Chotahkees Ticketyboo at Valindale, litter sister to 1 & slightly larger, pretty head & expression with good stop, dark eye & neat ears, well arched neck, good shoulder placement & deep ribcage, high set well plumed tail, moved well. I am sure these 2 will change places many times, just preferred 1; 3 Wadmore-Smith’s Hunnivoles Pepsi Rock.
JB (1) 1 H Pepsi Rock, very feminine bitch with beautiful clear silver jacket, well balanced head with soft Keesy expression from small dark eyes & well placed ears, well arched neck, good depth of rib & good muscle tone, good outline, moved well.
YB (1) 1 Wilkin’s Whizzkees Onyx Sapphire, very short coupled bitch, pretty head with good stop, small dark eye & well set ears, enough neck on deep well muscled body. Short of tail at the moment but well set on. Coat of good texture & colour, moved very well both ways.
PGB (5) 1 RCC, Henman, Peterson & Bell’s Foxifare Pretty Woman, lovely balanced outline, neck well arched, shoulders well set, deep ribcage & short loin, pretty head, good stop, small dark eyes, well placed ears, well boned legs & feet, profuse coat of good texture & colour, moved well both ways; 2 Wilkin’s Whizzkees Silver Slipper, smaller bitch & slightly longer cast than 1, very feminine head with good stop, dark eye & well set ears, well arched neck, good front & deep chest, very well muscled body. Tail well set but she tends to drop it which spoils her outline. Harsh coat of good colour, moved very well.
LB (6) 1 Smith’s Sueacres Crystal Image, stunning bitch with timeless quality, good size, short coupled with good length of leg giving correct ratio of outline, well boned with moderate angulation & tight cat feet, beautiful head with neat well set ears & small dark expressive eyes, correct ratio of skull to foreface, good stop, excellent length of neck on well laid shoulders, well ribbed with short loin & good muscle tone, high set well plumed tail, neat harsh jacket with good definition & beautiful silver colouring, excellent mover to match her outline. CC, hope she goes on to gain more; 2 Peck’s Luddelos Frost Bite with Byquy, different type of bitch, correct size with short coupled body & high set well plumed tail giving good outline, good reach of neck on well laid shoulders, pleasing head with correct ratio & neat well set ears. Between coats at the moment but of good texture, colour not as clear as 1. Movement very good.
OB (4) 1 Hill’s Plymkees Limited Edition, well balanced bitch of good size & colour, very feminine head with good balance, dark eye, small well placed ears, compact with very good muscle tone, coat of good texture, clear colour, moved well both ways, never stopped showing; 2 Austin’s Ch Valindale Darling Girl for Chotahkees, larger bitch with good bone & balance, lovely head type with good length of muzzle, dark eye & neat ear, lovely arch of neck, well laid shoulders & good depth of rib, well plumed tail, moved well. Didn’t appear to want to do the job in hand; 3 Bell’s Allforus Tumbling Dice.
