Keeshonden

I would like to thank the Windsor Committee for the invitation to judge at this prestigious show and the exhibitors for an entry of lovely dogs. The puppy classes were fantastic to see with many gorgeous puppies, which I hope augers well for the future of the breed.

Veteran Dog or Bitch (1 entry) 1 Goddard’s Ch Swashway Drama Queen. Very pretty bitch with lovely head and expression who excelled in body shape. In excellent condition with superbly coloured coat. Still keen to show at eight and three quarters’ years of age and moved very well. A credit to her owner.

Puppy Dog (4 entries; 1 absent). 1 Sharp-Bale’s Neradmik Handsome Hero Lovely 8 month old in full puppy coat of excellent colour. Sound body, tail well-set and with a lovely plume. Excellent bone and substance. Attractive wedge-shaped head with distinct facial markings and lovely dark, obliquely-set eye. Neat ears, correctly set. Moved very well. Perfect presentation. One to watch I think. Reserve CC. 2 Andrews’ Neradmik Help the Hero at Maldine Litter brother to 1, again with many similarities. Profuse coat of lovely clear silver colour. Good tail set. Lovely head with dark eye and neat well-placed ears. A bit of a handful but well presented. Moved well. 3 Ransley’s Szaryk Follow that Dream

Junior Dog (3 entries). 1 Waller’s Brykin Big Chief. Very attractive head and expression. Coat of lovely clear colour and good texture. Profuse plume to his well-set tail. Saw enough on the move but he was very full of himself. 2 Tew’s Bargeway Keen to Rumble Well-grown puppy, who was lifting his tail today, spoiling his outline although he carried it well on the move. Masculine head with dark eye. Creamy colour and plainer in the head than 1. 3 Ellis’s Brykin Big Noise

Post Graduate Dog (3 entries) 1 Painter’s Hunnivoles Song of Solomon Attractive dog with gorgeous rich coloured coat. Very good tail set. Moved okay when settled. 2 Tew and Scroggs’ Bargeway Just Me Heavier headed dog with substantial body, longer cast than 1. Coat of deep colour. Moved close behind. 3 Houghton’s Leifkees Ambassador

Limit Dog (8 entries; 2 absent) 1 Feist and Peacey’s Neradmik Valentino I have written down ‘so typey’ and that just says it all. Lovely young dog with superb body shape, short-backed with an excellent tail set. Excellent front assembly. Good depth and barrel to chest and good bone. Gorgeous wedge-shaped head with neat ears. In full bloom with coat of good colour and definition. Presented beautifully in wonderful condition. Dog CC. 2 Atkinson’s Torrikees Whos the Boss of Winklestar Well-balanced dog, again with a lovely outline shape and profuse coat of lovely clear colour and correct texture. Attractive wedge-shaped head. Moved briskly and pressed hard for the Reserve CC. 3 Luckhurst’s Gavimir Checkmate

Open Dog (2 entries) 1 Brunt’s Zandvoort Dream Machine Another dog with typical shape and lovely head type. Good bone. Not such true movement and would prefer coat colour to be clearer. 2 Rose’s Rossvale Sacred Spirit for Esorkees Longer in body than 1 but well balanced and substantial dog, in good condition. Coat was a stunning colour. Wedge shaped head.

Good Citizen Dog or Bitch (No entries)

Puppy Bitch (9 entries; 1 absent) 1 Curry’s Neradmik Steppin’ up the Game at Norkees This was a very difficult class but how lovely to have such beautiful bitch puppies coming along for the breed. First was a stunning puppy, completely balanced with a well-arched neck, leading into good shoulders and front. High-set, profusely-plumed tail. Coat of excellent colour. Moved and showed very well – completely at one with her owner. Reserve CC and Best Puppy. 2 Sharp-Bale and White’s Neradmik Sunday Lovin Litter sister to 1 and out of the same mould. Very pretty head. Excellent proportions giving a superb outline. Short-coupled body and high-set tail with a lovely plume. Gorgeous clear colour. Well presented and handled. 3 Feist and Peacey’s Neradmik Kissing Game

Junior Bitch (1 entry; 1 absent)

Post Graduate Bitch (3 entries)
1 Saunder’s Liefkees Angelika Won this class on soundness. Nice colour coat and good bone. Giving her all for her owner. Moved well. 2 Hopkin’s Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach Lovely feminine head and expression. Richly coloured coat with silver undercoat but in need of more trousers to complete her lovely shape. 3 Eggleston’s Martelkees Forget Me Not by Ricara

Limit Bitch (9 entries; 3 absent) 1 Carter’s Amikirs Arabella One I have admired from the ringside and doesn’t disappoint. Very pretty head and expression with dark eye. Short in the body and well off for bone. Coat of deep colour with good contrast. Moved well and well presented. 2 Saunders’ Leifkees Annabell Well put together and very sound with good bone. Moved with drive. Very attentive to her owner. 3 Rose’s Neradmik Kisses and Giggles for Esorkees

Open Bitch (4 entries; 3 absent) 1 Sharp-Bale’s Ch Lady Godiva’s Guilty Pleasures with Neradmik On her own but what a lovely bitch. Feminine head. Super body shape, so well-balanced, with a well-set profusely plumed tail. Sound, moving like a dream, completely at one with her owner and presented to perfection. Mother of some the puppy exhibits so not just a beautiful example of the breed but passing on her quality to the next generation. Bitch CC Best of Breed
