Bath Championship Show 2011
Keeshond

After 39 years in the breed it was a pleasure to judge at a Championship Show with such a nice quality entry of Keeshonds.

MPD (1) 1 Hill’s Plymkees Cool Dude, a good size puppy of 7 months. Nice head with dark eye, good reach of neck, lovely bone, good rich colour, high set tail moved ok.
PD (3) 1 Wadmore-Smith’s Hunnivoles Woody Valentine, lovely and very mature puppy of good size. Nice wedge shaped head with dark eye and pleasing expression. Good bone, cat shaped feet . Compact shape well ribbed with high set tail, big coat of correct colour, moved well BP. 2 Painter’s Hunnivoles Song of Solomon, slightly smaller dog neat and compact, darker in colour, nice head and expression, moved ok. 3 Newman’s Leazehond Midnight Blue.
JD (6) 1 Hunnivoles Woody Valentine; 2 Wood’s Neradmik Secret Affair with Weglaufen, nice compact dog with rich dark colour and high set tail. Smart head with dark eyes, good bone and neat feet. Moved well, showed and presented well. 3 Matthews’ Luddelos Figaro with Valindale.
PGD (4,1a) 1 Wells’ Allforus Hubba Bubba of Belanisiya, smart looking dog with very dark definition, short and compact with tail carried well over back. Finer head with dark eye nice shaped ears, presented well moved ok. 2 Baker’s Foxifayre Born Free, also short and compact, not such a high tail set as one, good colour, nice bone moved ok and showed well. 3 Wilkin’s Whizzkees Onyx Sampson.
LD (5) 1 RCC Feist & Peacey’s Neradmik Valentino, beautiful shaped dog with high set tail lovely head and expression correct shaped ears. Good definition of colour with dark saddle and coat of correct harsh texture. Cat like feet nice bone. Excellent movement showed and presented to perfection. Pushed hard for the ticket. 2 Wilkin’s Pommary Quick Silver, another lovely boy of good correct size, waiting in the wings. Nice colour and coat of correct texture, well muscled body, lovely head with gorgeous expression, almond shaped eyes nicely placed ears, another excellent mover, did not quite have the spark and on his toes as one but his time will come. 3 Luckhurst’s Gavimir Checkmate.
OD (5) 1 CC & BOB Blomfield’s Ch Valindale What Ever, lovely upstanding dog with a beautiful head, nice dark almond shaped eyes, neat ears. Good reach of neck and correct lay of shoulder, lovely colour with black saddle, coat of correct harsh texture. Correct tail carriage high set over short back. Good bone good spring of rib and well muscled body lovely front and rear, cat like feet. Moved very well, showed and presented beautifully. 2 Day’s Ch Allforus Dice Master for Spitzcav, another beautiful dog of lovely rich colour, nice pleasing head with nice shaped eye and neat ears good reach of neck and well bodied, high set tail, moved ok. Presented to perfection as usual pressed hard for top spot just preferred movement of 1. 3 Brunt’s Zandvoort Dream Machine.

PB (4) 1 Wadmore-Smith’s Hunnivoles Pepsi Rock, very pretty feminine puppy of good size. Nice shaped head with lovely expression, good shaped dark eye, well set neat ears, good bone with neat tight feet, high set tail carried well over short back. Lovely silver grey in colour moved well. BPB. 2 Brown’s Rossvale’s Scarletts Secret, darker and smaller puppy, another pretty girl with nice expression nice dark eye and small neat ears, high set tail , beautifully groomed and presented well, preferred movement of 1. 3 Lewis’ Leazehond Brightstar Night.
JB (6,1a) RCC 1 Saunders’ Liefkees Annabell, Lovely girl of good size and correct colour and coat texture. Nice head with pleasing typical keeshond expression nice shaped eyes. Good reach of neck, high set tail, good bone, correct shaped feet, well ribbed and muscled, showed well. Very good movement. 2 Norris’ Sareveta Day Dream, very pretty bitch with lovely expression, nice shaped eye with specs , compact body, high tail carriage , smaller than 1 not quite as good colour of 1 but still a lot to like about her, playing up a little, moved ok. 3 Rose’s Neradmik Kisses’n’ Giggles for Esorkees.
PGB (7,4a) 1 Peck’s Luddelos Frost Bite with Byquy, very pretty bitch, nice head with well set ears which were used well, nice shaped eyes would like more spectacles which will come with maturity. Lovely reach of neck and correct tail carriage set high over short back. Harsh coat, moved well. 2 Saunder’s Liefkees Angelika, Nice girl, larger in size to 1 but not oversized just right. Beautiful head and expression, excellent eye shape and ear placement. Good colour, moved well. Tail not as high set as 1 and she is lacking in furnishings but still a good quality bitch who will get her turn.3 Wilkin’s Whizzkees Onyx Sapphire.
LB (7,1a) CC 1 Sharp-Bale Neradmik Chanel, gorgeous girl of quality with dark muzzle and correct spectacle markings around almond shaped dark eyes. Well placed ears giving her a beautiful expression. Good lay of shoulder compact shape with high set tail held over short back. Good colour and definition, correct harsh texture of coat, nice length of leg to give a very balanced look. Moved well. Presented and shown to perfection. 2 Bardsley & Ring’s Baleissa Indian Summer, another lovely girl of good colour, darker than 1. Nice expression, dark eye nice ears when used , short in back high tail. Good movement. Not in such good coat as 1. 3 Newman’s Leazehond Maddy Moonlight.
OB (4) 1 Gregory’s Ch Amikirs Adorabubble, nice bitch of smaller type but everything there. Good expression with dark eye nice specs markings well set ears , good bone, high tail, correct harsh coat of good colour, nice bone moved well. 2 Bell’s Allforus Tumbling Dice, lovely girl of good correct size, nice expression , dark eye neat ears , good reach of neck high set tail,harsh textured coat with dark saddle. Moved well, sadly lacking in coat. 3 Francis & Wilding’s Swashway Stage Struck.
