Sad to see so few dogs here today but one can only judge what is here on the day. Unfortunately many dogs were out of coat and decisions made today could possibly have been different if coats had been better. One other thing I feel I must say, our breed standard says our dogs should be shown naturally with no trimming except for feet and pasterns. People should know by now my feelings on this and I will penalise any dog or bitch that has been blatantly trimmed and shown under me.
Veteran Dog (1)
First: Miss K M Austin – Chotahkees What A Dream. Eight year old dog who is so like his father that I felt rather sentimental about seeing him. Beautiful type with a pleasing head and expression, short back with good depth of chest. Good tail set. Lovely colour and correct coat. Moves better than I have seen him move when he was younger.

Post Graduate Dog (1)
First: Mr B & Mrs H Brewer – Helkeesen Adam. Smaller dog but balanced with a good head and good expression. Nice eyes and well placed ears. Good shoulder placement with a short back, high set tail. Could do with slightly more neck and a bit heavy on his shoulder which told on his movement.

First: Mr G & Mrs S Rose – Rossvale Sacred Spirit for Esorkees. Have always liked this boy, he is completely my type of dog with that beautiful keeshond shape. Good size, nice head with good eyes and expression. Well placed ears which he used to his advantage. Super neck and shoulder, lovely short back, short coupled with a beautiful depth of chest and good spring of rib. High set tail with a good plume. Moved well, handled well and deserved CC and BOB.
Second: Lady K S and Mr C Hickson – Natlou’s Young Pretender under Kichigai. Smaller type of dog but beautiful balance and nothing really to criticize, lovely head with beautiful eyes and small ears. Nice to go over, solid little body, high set tail and moved well. Not carrying the best coat today but what he had was quality and good colour. Just like him to be a little bit bigger. Res. CC
Third: Mr C & Mrs C A Barton – Rossvale Spirit of The Night at Collcrist
Open Dog (2)
First: Miss A Bennett & Mr G Savage – Ch Thorsdale Trademark. Judged him as a puppy and he has grown into a handsome dog. Worthy champion, pleasing head and expression. Personally to be hyper critical would like a bit more neck to give him better balance. Good colour, beautiful legs and feet, high set tail. Prefer more width between his front legs and carrying too much weight. Not looking his best today, lost out in the challenge on his rear movement.
Second: Mr D, Mrs L V and Miss J Divers – Ch Allforus Roll of The Dice at Murmansk Sh.cm. This dog has the most appealing head which is not typically correct but is still very attractive. Not the overall balance of one or quite the clarity of colour but beautifully presented and shown expertly. Rather short in the neck and longer in the back but has a good high set tail. I found his rear angulation too much which made him lope more like a GSD. Moving round the ring too fast.

Minor Puppy Bitch (1)
First: Mr R & Mrs B Eggleston – Martellkees Forget Me Not By Ricara. Eight month very pretty puppy. Good colour and quality coat. Very sweet expression and lovely ears. Good neck and shoulder, short backed with a high set tail. Superb presentation just needs her back end to strengthen on the move.
Puppy Bitch (3) 1 absent
First: Ms D C Gregory – Amikirs Adorabubble . Adorabubble by name and by nature. A very pretty ten month bitch. Super colour, good head and expression but on maturity will get even better. Well placed shoulders and solid little body, super tail with lovely plume set on correctly. Perfectly presented, lovely legs and feet and moved so well. In the Challenge I was drawn to her like a magnet and had to give her the CC and Best Puppy.
Second: Mr & Mrs D Firth – Martellkees She’s The One. Litter sister to the minor puppy and totally different. Larger, longer on the leg and not so feminine. On saying this, if she does not grow anymore, she could be a very promising prospect as I found nothing really to criticize on her conformation. Colour needs to clear, she moved OK but she is only a baby. I shall watch with interest to see how she matures.
Junior bitch (2)
First: Mrs M E Elliott – Natlou Lady Penelope at Fletilla. Very pretty girl and beautiful silver colour. Good type with a lovely head and expression. Good neck and shoulders with a high set tail. Moved well but a bit sluggish. Nice all round bitch.
Second: Martellkees She’s The One
Post Graduate Bitch (4) 2 absent
First: Mr I L & Mrs E Stubbings – Vandersee Autumnal Mist. Nice type of bitch with good colour. Presented to perfection. Old fashioned type all round, pretty head but has a slightly larger eye. Short back with high set tail. Would like a little bit more neck to complete the picture. Moved well.
Second: Miss C Bardsley & Mrs J Ring – Baleissa Indian Summer. This well made girl was sadly out of coat and also lacking in energy. She looked totally bored with the whole thing. The last time I saw this bitch she was beautiful. Perhaps she needs just a little more time to settle into her new home. Good head and expression, good neck and shoulders and a short back. High set tail. Carrying a little too much weight. Moved very well and hope she gets her confidence in the ring back soon.
Limit Bitch (6)
First: Mrs R I Francis & Mrs E R Wilding – Swashway Material Girl. Lovely overall compact quality bitch but sadly out of coat. Coat can grow! She has a sweet head and expression and a beautiful neck, good shoulders and short back, high set tail and movement to die for. The complete shape of my ideal keeshond. I would just like her a little bigger but that is my only criticism.
Second: Mrs B King – Ricara Evita of Kashmay. A lovely overall girl, beautiful colour. Hasn’t quite got the overall balance of one but very pleasing to look at. Head type is good but would prefer a smaller eye. Superbly presented and showed very well. Moved OK.
Third: Miss C Bardsley & Mrs B Bardsley – Baleissa Catwalk Queen Sh.cm
Open Bitch (5) 2 absent
First: Mrs R I Francis & Mrs E R Wilding – Swashway Stage Struck. Another lovely bitch from this kennel but sadly out of coat. Has the most beautiful head and expression, lovely small ears, good neck and shoulder but carrying a little weight on her shoulder which showed on her front movement. High set tail and the most beautiful silver colour.
Second: Mrs C Wadmore Smith – Ch Rossvale The Look of Love JW. Another quality bitch but not in the best of coat. What she did have was good quality and lovely colour. Very pretty head and expression. Showing all the time. Compact body with a good tail, moved very well.
Third: Mrs S Smith – Eastkees Diamond Image at Sueacres
