It is best to take samples at the beginning of the week to give ample time for them to be shipped to Cornell. It would assist if Dr Goldstein was notified either by fax or email that samples were being shipped.
Collect a blood sample in EDTA, not spun, not separated. Each sample need only be 1-2 ml (really depends on the size of the blood tubes that the practice has) but it is better that more than 1ml in EDTA is collected for DNA to be sure a reasonable yield is obtained. Put in an insulated container to keep cool & send within 24 hours. Please ensure that each EDTA tube is marked with both the dog’s Kennel Club registered name & its pet name.

The litter rate will be $89 per sample for two or more samples, ages 12 weeks or younger, submitted together with results reported to the same vet. The show/clinic rate will be $89 per sample for 10 or more samples submitted together with results reported to the same vet.
