I last judged the breed two years ago & in my preamble then I mentioned the problem of movement. Regrettably we are still in a similar position where movement leaves so much to be desired in many. I found loose back action & with regard to front movement one or two were throwing their legs. Presentation in some was almost non-existent, with a coated breed presentation is essential.

MPD (1) 1 Brettell’s Enreveyar Edsel, just 6 months, very pleasing head & eye, good lay of shoulder, well off for bone, tail well set, very promising puppy.
PD (2) 1 Luckhurst’s Gavimir Checkmate, 10 months, in lovely bloom, head handled well, good eye, good outline which he carried well on the move, excellent bone & feet, tail well set. BP; 2 Wilkins’ Pommary Quicksilver, 9 months, larger than 1 but did not detract from overall shape. Good eye, good neck into shoulder. Played up on the move but when settled should do better.
JD (1) 1 G Checkmate.
PGD (1) 1 Brunt’s Zandvoort Dream Machine, lovely head & eye, short backed, excellent overall shape, well laid shoulders, good tail, ample bone, moved well. I see from the catalogue that his father came under me when I last judged & I gave him RBD. RCC.
LD (3) 1 Barton’s Rossvale Spirit Of The Night, I have judged this dog before & he has matured along the best lines, lovely bone, good head & eye, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, short back, well set tail. In the challenge had to split hairs with RCC winner, on another day they could easily change places; 2 Dean’s Allforus Frosting over Lekkerbek, smaller dog, well balanced, head handled well, well laid shoulders, nice cat feet, well set tail.
OD (3) 1 Snowball’s Rossvale Latin Spirit, have judged him before & I gave him BD, my opinion of him hasn’t changed, still a lovely boy. Perhaps a little dark for some but I can forgive him that. In full bloom, well presented, could not see beyond him in the challenge, lovely head & eye, good neck on well laid shoulders, well set tail, all in all a very honest Keeshond. CC, & I believe his crown; 2 Pattison’s Eastkees Licence To Love, not in the best of jackets. Lovely head & eye, short coupled, moved well.

MPB (1) 1 Lindsay’s Enreveyar Mistic Star by Mezanda, just 6 months, very sweet little bitch. Still very raw but appeared to be enjoying her day. Lovely head, well set ears, litter sister to MPD & so very similar but preferred the bitch.
PB (2) 1 Luckhurst’s Gavimir Chantilly Lace, a little unsettled. Very feminine & extremely pretty, her head & eye were to die for, her shape was just what I like. In the challenge for BP lost out to her litter brother who had more confidence but on another day with confidence could easily beat him.
JB (5,2) 1 Gregory’s Amikirs Adorabubble, super feminine bitch, lovely head & eye, good reach of neck & well set shoulders, won this class easily on her breed type, one to watch for the future; 2 Carter’s Amikirs Arabella, litter sister to 1, head handled well, good ears & eye, nicely coupled; 3 Barbour’s Russkoe Serebrro Posh Totty at Cillakees.
PGB (7,4) 1 Brunt’s Zandvoort Whats In A Dream, lovely bitch whose head handled well, good eye & ear placement, nice reach of neck, good shoulders, well presented; 2 Wilkins’ Whizzkees Silver Slipper, lovely head & eye, well defined specks, moved well; 3 Lush’s Zandvoort Heaven’s Dream for Ednarron.
LB (5,1) 1 Hickson’s Kichigai Moonlight Kisses, very pleasing little bitch, lovely head & eye, good tight cat feet, short coupled, presented & handled well; 2 Truelove’s Neradmik Baiodora Lady D’Winter, well coated, good head & eye, good neck, tight cat feet, tail well set & well plumed; 3 Gregory’s Neradmik Scandalous at Natlou.
OB (7,2) The best class of the day & in the end some decisions were made by the split of a hair. 1 Sharp-Bale’s Ch Lady Godiva’s Guilty Pleasures with Neradmik, this little lady took me quite by surprise even though I have admired her from ringside. Going over her was indeed a pleasure, head handled well, lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good cat feet, movement was exceptional, moved as one with her handler, wanted to please all the time. CC, BOB & G4 which put the icing on the cake for my first time awarding CCs; 2 Luckhurst’s Ch Gavimir Hubble Bubble, judged this one as a puppy & I have to admit she has matured along the very best lines. Mother of my BP. Excellent head & eye, good neck & shoulders, best tail of the day, such a tight curl which is sadly lacking in the breed today. RCC; 3 Austin’s Ch Valindale Darling Girl for Chotahkees.
