KEESHONDS

JUDGE MRS GERALDINE CLARK

On the whole I thought that movement was better than the last time I judged, especially in the lower classes. There were only one or two incorrect tails and quite a few with double curls which I am always pleased to see. Ears seem to be getting bigger and set on low, please don’t let this become a trend! All dogs had the correct dentition and spectacles. Presentation is not usually an issue with our breed and the dogs are generally presented clean and tidy, however two or three very nice exhibits lost out due to lack of grooming.

DOGS
MPD (0)
PD (3) 1) Wogans Neradmik Beach Boy Avec Deminiac 11 month old boy of good size and colour, good length of leg, strong bone and neat cat feet. Pleasing square outline and correct high set tail. His head at present looks a little heavy as he has a very large puppy coat, however it is a well proportioned wedge shape and has a defined stop. Dark almond shaped eyes. He was carrying his ears a little wide today but they were a nice size. Moved well. 2) Hicksons Kichigai Where’s Wally. My notes say ‘love this boy’ wish there was a bit more of him. Has all the attributes of the winner and could have easily changed places. Would have preferred smaller ears. Moved well. 3) Miles & Cullen Neradmik Game Plan for Lekkerbek
JD (3) 1) Sharp-Bales Neradmik Handsome Hero. Very handsome, alert boy, the size and substance that I like. Good proportions all through and very well muscled. Short, strong loin and a high set tail. Pleasing head and expression, dark, almond shaped eyes, small, neat ears, to be critical I would have preferred them a little higher set. Good bone and neat cat like feet, moved very well. Dense coat of good colour and texture DCC & BOB. 2) Andrews Neradmik Help the Hero at Maldine. Smaller dog who is litter brother to the winner and has many of his good points. Not so positive on the move. 3) Tews Bargeway Mr Bojangles
PGD (5 – 1) 1) Tews Bargeway Keen to Rumble. Much to like about this boy, good size, enough bone and substance and in good coat. Expressive, wedge shaped head, dark almond eyes, ears a little wide set but of correct size. Moved well. 2) Matthews Pommary Ruff N’ Ready at Valindale. Good size and substance. The coat he has is a good colour and texture, what a shame there wasn’t more of it as it spoilt his outline. Just seemed a little lack lustre today. 3) Wilkins Whizzkees Onyx Sampson
LD (6 – 1) 1) Atkinsons Torrikees Who’s the Boss of Winklestar. A mature dog of good size and substance. Correct wedge shaped head, nice dark eye and small, well placed ears. Coat colour spoilt his expression for me. Strong, square outline and high set tail. Neat feet and good bone. Moved OK. 2) Bartons Collcrist Maximus Young dog in good coat and condition making a good, square outline. Correct head and expression, dark eyes and well placed, neat ears. Not so positive on the move as 1. 3) Bennetts Zandvoort Dream Stone
OD (7 – 1) 1) Pattisons Eastkees Don’t Say a Word. I really like the make and shape of this boy. Square outline, short, strong loin and high set tail, Alert expression, correct wedge shaped head, neat, well placed ears, dark almond shaped eyes. Good bone and neat cat feet. Coat colour and condition were not good today. Moved well. RDCC. 2) Wadmore-Smiths CH Hunnivoles Woody Valentine JW. Good size boy, lovely head and expression. Good colour coat. Preferred the substance and movement of 1. 3) Wilkins CH Pommary Quick Silver at Whizzkees

BITCH – Not the quality of the dogs.
MPB (2) 1) Lloyd & Bannisters Valindale Toot Toot Tootsie with Sharsown. 8 month old baby. Pretty head and expression, correct ear size and placement, dark eyes. In good coat of correct colour. A little raw at present and not moving very well. 2) Fitches Venway Believe in Magic at Samoykees. Just 6 months and not really ready for the big time. Quite small, Coat very tawny. Tail very loose. Sweet head and expression, Moved OK.
PB (1) 1) Sharp-Bales Neradmik Miss Holly Berry. My notes say 11 months old and like everything about her. Lovely short coupled outline, well set tail, good coat and colour. Very feminine head and sweet expression. Dark, almond shaped eyes and neat well placed ears. Good bone and neat cat feet. Good muscle tone, moved very well. BCC & BP
JB (4 – 2) 1) Pattisons Eastkees Timeless Love. Good size and substance. Square outline, well set tail. Pretty head and expression, dark, almond eyes and neat well placed ears. Good bone and neat cat feet. Colour and coat condition were not good today. Moved OK. 2) Brunts Sueacres Blue Sapphire. Slightly smaller than 1 and not so compact. Good coat and colour. Nice head and expression. Good eye shape and colour. Small neat ears that are well set. Moved OK.
PGB (2 – 2)
LB (5 – 2) 1) Bardsley & Rings Baleissa Indian Summer. Pretty bitch of good size in coat of good colour. Correct shaped head, dark eyes, would prefer smaller ears. Good bone and feet. Moved well. 2) Saunders Liefkees Angelika. Nice bitch of good size and colour, unfortunately not in her best coat which affected her expression and balance. Moved well. 3) Wadmore-Smiths Hunnivoles Pepsi Rock
OB (9 – 2) 1) CH Bardsleys Baleissa Catwalk Queen ShCM. Lovely outline, feminine head and expression. Dark eyes and neat ears. Strong, compact body high set tail. Enough bone and neat round feet. Immaculate coat, would have preferred a clearer colour. Moved well. RBCC 2) Saunders Liefkees Annabell. Good size bitch, strong compact body, well set tail. Good bone and feet. Lovely clear colour coat, needed more of it to complete the picture, another good mover. 3) CH Austins Chotahkees Truly Gorgeous.
