Keeshond
I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to award my first set of CC’s at one of my favourite shows. The quality of dogs presented to me was excellent. The exhibitors took my decisions sportingly and it was a great atmosphere with a full ringside of spectators. Thanks to everyone who entered and the lovely comments after judging. It was a day I will remember forever.
Min Puppy Dog (3,2a) 1st Miss J Davies – NERADMIK OVER THE RAINBOW TO KYROSS, 7 months old, moved true front and rear. Double curled, high set tail carried well over short back. Attractive head with darkest of eyes and well feathered ears. Very attentive to his handler, presented a beautiful profile and good size. Colour just needs to clear. BPD
Puppy Dog (3,0a) 1st Mr and Mrs Leach – BARGEWAY PRINCE CHARMING, lots to like about this boy, lovely dark colouring with distinct markings. Great eye colour, ivy shaped ears set well giving an attractive masculine head. His movement was effortless to match his construction. Beautifully prepared and handled. Lost out to the minor puppy on overall shape in the challenge. 2nd Mr Chesters and Mr Wilkinson – EASTKEES SILVER PRINCE, a handsome masculine head but would prefer a darker eye, neat ears well set. High set double curled tail presenting a lovely outline and the clearest of colours. Movement very erratic front and back. 3rd Mrs and Mr Bowden –Roche and Bowden – BARGEWAY POINT BLANK
Junior Dog (0,0)
Post Grad Dog (4,1a) 1st Mrs M Harris – NERADMIK ALL ABOUT THE BOY FOR WATCHKEES, Lovely body short coupled, with clear colour and markings, so sound on the move, tightest of feet, high set double curl tail. Dark eye, just a touch rounder than I would prefer. Prepared to perfection. Close decision for RCC. 2nd Mr R and Mrs K Shepherd – KICHIGAI LORD OF THE DANCE SHCM, Handsome boy with dark eye and neat ears. Another with lovely cat feet. To perfect his profile would like a little more length of neck, moved close behind today. 3rd Mrs S E Lindsay – MEZANDA MADOG’S STORM
Limit Dog (8,1a) Tough class with so many lovely exhibits to choose between. 1st Mrs V Tew – BARGEWAY KEEN TO RUMBLE, Good size, shape and construction, outstanding movement which won him the class. All male head, ears that could be slightly neater. Colour and contrast superb. High set tail with desired double curl. Performed so well for his handler today. Pulled out all the stops in the challenge for RCC. 2nd Mr and Mrs Stubbingss – VANDERSEE IRISH GUARD, lovely dog to go over, clearest of colours and markings, with a high set tail producing a beautiful profile with his length of neck. Reluctant to use his ears today (very noisy hall) so well prepared. Preferred the more positive movement and drive of 1 today. 3rd Mrs P M Andrews – NERADMIK HELP THE HERO AT MALDINE
Open Dog (7,2a) A beautiful class to judge. 1st Mr D, Mr M, Mrs L and Mrs U Peck, Matthews and Ransley – WUND-R Y WORKIN FOR A LIVING AT SZARYK (IMP USA), a picture in profile with length of neck, high set tail, colour and contrast. Going over him didn’t disappoint confirming what I had seen with bone to suit. His handsome head with neatest of ears, eye could be a shade darker but really nit picking! On the move he flowed around the ring, clean brisk straight and sharp with his excellent handler. Dog CC (his crown) and BOB 2ND Mr C R and Mrs G A Brunt – SUEACRES ICED DIAMOND OF ZANDVOORT – A classic boy, with lovely shape and profile. Clear colour with good definition. Moved true fore and aft. Would prefer slightly smaller ears on his masculine head, dark eyes. Considered for the RCC when called back into the challenge. 3RD Mrs C Wadmore-Smith – CH HUNNIVOLES WOODY VALENTINE JW

Minor Puppy Bitch (2,0a) A pair of very naughty baby puppies presented a challenge, and a lot of giggling. 1st Mrs G Clark – BYQUY JAZZ FOR KWAJONGEN, lovely profile with clear colour and a nice size puppy for her age. Ears look a little large at the minute but they are well feathered. Her tail was looser today but it was a big deal for these two babies. She moved OK when she was allowed to hold her own leader in her mouth rather than her handler’s trousers! 2nd Mr B, Mrs B and Mrs G Henman and Peterson – FOXIFAYRE CHASING RAINBOWS, So feminine with the darkest of eye, neat ears. Lovely length of neck with high set double curled tail. Dark jacket with clearly defined markings. When we tried to move her she wanted to bolt for the door, we tried everything but I had no chance of assessing her movement.
Puppy Bitch (4,0a) 1st G Shreeve – BARGEWAY PEACHES AND CREAM, lovely puppy, clear colour well defined markings. High set double curled tail carried well over back. Bone to suit her size. Feminine head with darkest of eyes. Looking forward to seeing her mature. She was so alert and bright eyed and thoroughly enjoyed her experience. BPB and BPIB (could have taken her home). 2nd Mr A and Mrs S Hill – WHIZKEES EBONY SILVER FOR PLYMKEES, a picture in profile, with elegant neck, clear colour and coat definition. Her tail is loose curling to the side today. Also very erratic on the move. 3rd Mrs S Pattinson – EASTKEES SILVER SIXPENCE
Junior Bitch (2,0a) 1st Mr and Mrs Brown – ROSSVALE HIDDEN DESTINY, a lovely profile, feminine head with dark muzzle and well defined spectacles. Lovely length of neck, high set tail carried so well. Excels in so many ways, today she appeared to be throwing a front leg. 2nd Mrs C Hattersley – TORRIKEES SEA BREEZE, without her coat today she couldn’t produce the desired profile. She excelled in movement, sweetest of heads with lovely eye shape and colour. Coat she had was clear and well presented, high set tail with desired double curl. Would love to see her again with coat.
Post Grad Bitch (3,0) 1st Mr and Mrs Palmer – SHELDERON SUMMER SPARKLE, Out of coat but with lovely clear colour. Feminine head with a dark eye and neat ears. Tightest of double curls set well. And lovely cat feet. Her movement wasn’t positive on the rear today. 2nd Mrs S E Lindsay – MEZANDA MAI SUNSHINE, by far the best mover in the class, high set tail with double curl. Coat of good colour with defined markings. She is slightly longer cast and would prefer a darker eye. 3rd Miss N Richardson – RICARA ROSE
Limit Bitch (7,3) 1st Mr I and Mrs A Passmore – TORRIKEES VICTORIA’S SECRET, a super bitch with outstanding profile, high set double curled tail. Darkest of eyes, completing her feminine expression. Neat ivy shape ears. Moves well but did play her handler up today especially in the challenge. Ideally would like her slightly larger. 2nd Mrs V Tew – BARGEWAY NEAT AND TIDY, another lovely bitch, feminine head and expression with neat ears. Loved her size, and she moved out well, high set tail carried well at all times. Her colour is not as clear as I would like. 3rd Mr M Carter – AMIKIRS ARABELLA
Open Bitch (7,2) 1st Mr C R and Mrs G A Brunt – VANSTRAND QUANTUM OF SOLACE, WOW a lovely bitch that excels in size, shape, and colour. Length of neck with her high set tail completed a beautiful profile. Her head and expression is so feminine with dark eye, ivy shaped ears. A true Keeshond bitch. So pleased to award her the CC (also her crown). 2nd Ms D C Gregory – CH AMIKIRS BUBBLELICIOUS JW, another lovely bitch for size and type. Lovely profile with high set tail and good length of neck. Clear colour with well-defined markings. Handled to perfection, moved with ease, straight and true. RCC. 3rd Ms K M Austin – CH VALINDALE DARLING GIRL WITH CHOTAHKEES
