The Discover Dogs stand…
VD (2) 1 Passmore’s Am Gr Ch Trumpets It’s Good To Be King, nice style of Kees. Pleasing headpiece with good expression. Nice depth to upper & lower jaw & dentition. Moderate length to neck, level topline, tail set high. Coat colour being of rich contrasts, nice tight feet, legs well boned. Coat with texture, clean legs & feet. Moved well fore & aft, on the stand gave a good outline/profile, a worthy champion; 2 Hills’ Plymkees Star Class, another good specimen, pleasing throughout, nice coat colour & definition, short coupled, nice ear placement, would like a little more padding under the eye. Moves well fore & aft, gives the impression that when moving away can be a tad close.
PD (1) 1 Hickson’s Kichigai Luke Skywalker, pleasing head properties & ear placement, nice depth of forechest & front assembly. Tight feet & well up on pastern, short coupled male with good topline & tail carriage. When on the move as a point of recommendation this exhibit has a tendency to gait with his rear action moving into his driver’s legs which can give the impression of crabbing this being a handling issue. Quality exhibit. BP.
JD (3) 1 Bowden-Roche & Bowden’s Bargeway Point Blank, quality young male with all breed requirements & style, pleasing head proportions & all male. Strong upper & lower jaw line, nice front with clean legs & well shaped feet, good lay of shoulder with level topline, good plume to tail, moved true fore & aft. Liked him greatly at this stage of his development. Definitely one to watch; 2 Leach’s Bargeway Prince Charming, litter brother to 1 & these places could change from time to time. Pleasing head & front, good reach of neck, short coupled. Coat of good colour & texture. Preferred the hind movement of 1. Could not get this boy’s nose off the ground today; 3 Chester’s Eastkees Silver Prince.
PGD (7) 1 Atkinson’s Winklestar Hadar, impressive male, excelled in head proportions, nice front with clean legs & feet. Good reach of neck & topline with high set tail. Fitted jacket of good colour & texture, moved out well both fore & aft. In the challenge was disappointed as this exhibit lost his enthusiasm hence this cost him a higher placing today, still a lovely type of Kees with that lovely silhouette; 2 Lindsay’s Mezanda Madogs Storm, another young male of quality, nice head & expression would prefer a darker eye. Good reach of neck & topline with high set tail. Clean legs & feet, coat of rich colour & good texture, moved well fore & aft. Nice picture when standing; 3 Waller’s Brykin Big Chief.
LD (6) 1 Harris’ Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees, quality exhibit with nice profile & outline. Short coupled, stood well at all times for his handler. Pleasing head with ears well placed, good front with tight feet, moderate reach of neck on well placed shoulders. Level topline with tail set high. Coat texture harsh & stand off, jacket fitted nevertheless. Moved out very well & with meaning covering the ground with purpose. My one observation on this charge just needs finishing on rough & hind trousers to complete the overall picture, nice dog. RCC; 2 Tew’s Bargeway Keen To Rumble, lovely type of male with pleasing head & expression, good size, nice reach of neck & topline, tail well set. Well boned legs with feet well shaped. Pleasing coat texture & colour contrasts to this exhibit. Moved well but was not giving of himself here today which detracts from this dog’s overall quality; 3 Andrew’s Neradmik Help The Hero at Maldine.
OD (11,1a) 1 Andersson & Eriksson’s Nor Ch Dungen Nice Guy, what can one say other than is quality throughout, classical headpiece with equal depth of skull to foreface likewise with lower & upper jaw line showing off that lovely foxlike quality of the Kees head. Ears set well, lovely reach of neck with slightly graduated topline from head to tail which I like. Tail set high with good plume, clean legs on catlike tight feet. Rich colour to this exhibit showing all shades of grey with that highly desirable black saddling well fitted jacket of good texture. Upstanding dog with nice front pastern & hocks let down well, moved beautifully with no effort what so ever, a joy to award him the CC & BOB. I would like to think that the breeder/owners would campaign him here hoping to gain his crown in the UK; 2 Carroll’s Ir Ch Lyntova Legend Has It, nice exhibit with pleasing head, ears well situated, good front assembly, reach of neck & shoulder placement, level topline. Well plumed tail set high, adequate amount of coat of good colour & texture. Moved well fore & aft; 3 Miettinen & Keinanen’s Fin/Rus/Liv/By/Hung/CZ Ch Ikurin Stella Polaris.
GCD (3) 1 Atkinson’s Torrikees Who’s The Boss of Winklestar, upstanding male, pleasing head, would prefer more depth of foreface, good reach of neck & topline. Short coupled, tail set high. Lighter shades of grey, would like a little more definition in colour. Moved soundly with good ground coverage; 2 Hopkins’ Int/Bel/Fr/Lux/Dutch Ch Helskeesen Regal Surfer among Serenabach, foxlike head, ears well placed, short coupled male, good front & rear assembly, in good coat of harsh texture, I would like a better definition of colour. Moved out well fore & aft. My preference is that I would just like more of him; 3 McCormack’s Gallowtree Ghillie.
VB (6,1) 1 Lindsey’s Mezanda Teachers Pet, 12½ year old lady who didn’t fail to pull all the stops out in this class, foxlike head & expression, moderate neck length, shoulders well placed, level topline & tail carried high at all times. Stood & moved without restriction, covered the ground well. Coat colour being rich & texture good; 2 Hill’s Plymkees Limited Edition, another quality girl with pleasing head properties, good reach of neck & topline, in good condition, coat of good texture. Another exhibit who moved well coming & going. Preferred the front assembly of the class winner.
PB (2) 1 Clark’s Byquy Jazz for Kwajongen, nice style of bitch with lovely headpiece & ear placement, dark eye, nice front assembly & depth of chest. Good colour contrast to coat & texture. Nice plume to tail loosens slightly when concentrating but this will adjust on maturity also would prefer a better hind action; 2 Henman & Peterson’s Foxifayre Chasing Rainbows, quality bitch puppy, pleasing head & ear placement, moderate length of neck, shoulders well situated, level topline, tail set well with good plume. Coat of rich colour & texture, good fitted jacket. This youngster needs to be brought back to training as she has the potential to go far but she prevented me assessing her correctly here today which was very disappointing, time to address this situation.
JB (7,1) 1 Wilkins’ Whizzkees Ebony Slipper, lovely foxlike head & expression with ears set well of ivy shape, good reach of neck & topline. Tail carried well at all times, pleasing front & rear assembly. In between coat at this stage of development, hence her overall quality won her the class, being smart & well put together; 2 Hattersley’s Torrikees Sea Breeze, another quality exhibit in between coats at the moment, nice headpiece & expression, moderate neck length, good shoulder placement, topline & tailset. Stood foursquare on clean legs & catlike feet. Moved well in all directions, just needs furnishings ie rough & trousers to complete the picture; 3 Shreeve’s Bargeway Peaches And Cream Gineter.
PGB (7,1) Difficult class to judge as there were issues on each exhibit that concerned me but on assessment the problems were that of incorrect handling & not the dogs themselves. 1 Parker’s Eastkees Gossip Girl, this young lady stood well with nice outline, pretty head & expression, good reach of neck, topline & tailset, coat being silver grey & a bit soft in texture. Clean legs & feet, on the move was fine going away but her coming towards was that of hackney action also looking up at her driver all the time. After explaining to her handler to move a bit quicker it was apparent that she did not disappoint when gaited correctly; 2 Ransley’s Szaryk Flower Of The Prarie, another quality girl, nice headpiece & ear placement, short coupled, good reach of neck & high set tail. Coat colour & contrast good as is the texture of the fitted jacket. Pleasing sound movement when settled, another handling issue where a looser lead was required to enable this bitch to move out freely & not strung; 3 Carter’s Amikirs Bucks Fizz of Almraglac.
LB (11,1) 1 Passmore’s Torrikees Victoria’s Secret, what more can one say but smart & on form. Feminine bitch with lovely headpiece & small ivy shaped ears, good reach of neck, short coupled in loin & a beautiful shape in side profile. Spot on front assembly with rear being of the same complimenting each other from every angle. Nice length of leg for height ratio. Fitted jacket with nice texture to coat & nice colour contrast throughout. Could not fault movement in any way, handler moved her exhibit cleanly & briskly at the correct trotting gait enabling this young lady to move showing her virtues in conformation. It was a pleasure to award her the CC giving her that wonderful full crown on the day. Now a champion; 2 Saunders’ Liefkees Angelika, smart bitch of good breed type, pleasing head, would prefer a slightly smaller ear. Good front with the best feet here today being tight round & catlike, clean legs & her coat being rich in colour & of a nice texture, another sound moving lass who showed well at all times. RCC; 3 Harrison’s Helkeesen Surfin Kokomo.
OB (7) 1 Brunt’s Ch Vanstrand Quantum Of Solace, up to size bitch of quality, pleasing head & expression, good front & rear assembly. Nice reach of neck, topline & tail set well. Well boned legs & catlike feet, nice texture coat & colour contrast. Moved out well in front but found her slightly close behind here today. Lovely picture standing; 2 Janssen’s Int Ch Kisses Van Het Earlskamp, nice style of bitch with lovely head properties. Neat ears & the kindest of eyes. Lovely reach of neck on well situated shoulders, short coupled with level topline. Tail set high & carried well. Coat of the richest colour. Moved out well fore & aft. Trousers were a bit sparse behind giving an in complete picture to what is a quality exhibit; 3 Gregory’s Ch Amikirs Bubblelicious.
GCB (2) 1 Janseen’s Int/Bel/Lux/Dutch Ch Torrikees Shakira among Serenbach, nice head, facial expression, neat ear placement, strong front & rear standing foursquare at all times. Harsh stand off coat but rather lacking in the trouser department. Moved well coming & going, can stand somewhat wide in front & I would like to see a bit more neck as this exhibit can sometimes look stuffy in the shoulders; 2 Richardson’s Ricara Rose at Odinkees, pretty bitch, side profile appealing, smaller style of girl, coat colour & texture. Pleasing clean legs & feet, nice rough & plume to tail. Moved OK but when returning to the judge can move very wide detracting her virtues.
