Thank you to the exhibitors who braved both journey & weather to present their dogs. All dogs were of good colour but size difference is still cause for concern lack of leg length & reach of neck detract from the overall outline of the breed, & should be taken into account when planning breeding. An excess of angulation on back limbs also needs to be watched as it causes the pasterns to be behind the buttocks, instead of under them.
PD (1) 1 Shepherd’s Kichigai Lord Of The Dance, 8 months of good size, pleasing head with good balance, small ears & dark eyes, compact body with adequate length of neck, harsh coat with beautiful clear colour & good definition, tail well set, moved well both ways. Just needs to muscle up which will come with maturity.
JD (1) 1 Hickson’s Kichigai Wheres Wally, very compact with profuse coat of lighter colour, well balanced wedge shaped head with dark expressive eyes & well set ears, well arched neck, good bone & tight cat feet, high set tail, moved well.
PGD (2) 1 Tew’s Bargeway Keen To Rumble, well made dog of good size, good bone & neat feet, lovely reach of neck holding very typical wedge shaped head with good balance, dark expressive eyes, harsh coat with high set well plumed tail, very good movement both ways; 2 Wilkin’s Whizzkees Onyx Sampson, smaller dog, short coupled with good depth of rib, well boned, enough neck, beautiful head type with small dark eyes, ears small & well set, rich clear colour with good contrast, moved well.
LD (2) 1 Matthews’ Pommary Ruff N’Ready at Valindale, well sized upstanding dog, short coupled giving a pleasing outline, good spring of rib, well proportioned head, good length of muzzle, dark almond shaped eyes, small dark ears, harsh coat of rich colour, well defined, excellent brisk & true movement, new coat coming though; 2 Anderson’s Kichigai Limited Edition, well sized dog, slightly longer cast that 1, well proportioned head, dark eye, good reach of neck to well sprung ribs, good bone & feet, coat harsh & well presented, rear movement good, front slightly wide.
OD (4) 1 Wadmore-Smith’s Ch Hunnivoles Woody Valentine, was BP last time I judged him & has grown into a beautiful adult, good sized compact dog with good depth of rib & short loin, excellent bone with tight cat feet, well up on front pasterns, broader head type but still well balanced with small dark ears, dark eye with good markings, good rear angulation, rich coloured harsh coat, very good definition, excellent movement. CC & BOB; 2 Hill’s Plymkees The Cool Dude, lovely dog, larger than 1 & slightly longer, very good head type with good length of muzzle, dark eye, very good reach of neck on well set shoulder to strong deep chest, harsh fitted jacket or rich colour & contrast, moved well when settled. Just needs more ruff to finish the picture. RCC; 3 Diver’s Ch/Ir Ch Allforus Roll Of The Dice at Murmansk.
PB (1) 1 Reed’s Byquy Willma, ultra feminine, well grown 11 month old, very good balance in profile with short loin, good reach of neck, high set well plumed tail, typical Keeshond head with correct wedge shape & good length of muzzle, dark oblique eye & small neat ears, well set on, good front, well laid shoulders, well sprung rib with good bone, clean legs & tight cat feet, true brisk movement. CC & BP, should have a bright future.
JB (1) A.
PGB (3) 1 Gate’s Lacetrom Cruivie, balanced with good size, pretty head of correct proportions, dark eye, enough neck & sturdy body. Coat harsh & clear but lacked definition & lacking in trousers. Movement adequate.
LB (0).
OB (5) 1 Wilkin’s Ch Whizzkees Silver Slipper, well balanced feminine bitch with short coupling, correct head with typical expression & dark eye, good reach of neck to well laid shoulders & good spring of rib, harsh clear coloured coat, between coats at present, excellent mover. RCC; 2 Hill’s Pommary Talluhal Lo at Plymkees, larger bitch & slightly longer in loin, but still showing good balance, well proportioned wedge shaped head with dark eye & good markings, good reach of neck to well muscled body, good bone with strong clear legs & feet, coat of good texture & definition, moved well; 3 Diver’s Ir Ch Kichigai Rare Edition at Murmansk.
