The Keeshond Club held an open show where my thanks to the exhibitors who gave me a lovely selection of dogs to go over & whose warmth & kindness made this such a lovely show.

BIS was Neradmik Help The Hero at Maldine; RBIS, Ch Eastkees Winter Mist; BP, Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek; & BV, Plymkees First Edition.

MPD (3) 1 Miles & Dean’s Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek, very naughty puppy but full of quality. Excellent in head & overall proportions, standing square & moving jauntily when he put his mind to it. Lovely leg length & tailset. Liked him very much & look forward to seeing him progress. BP; 2 Harris & Major’s Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees, well schooled youngster who has slightly different proportions than first, being longer in body. Lovely coat pattern & well prepared.
PD (2) 1 Miles’ Cullen & Brown’s Rossvale’s Legacy for Lekkerbek, lovely young male who stands with a square outline. Profuse coat but harness marks could be clearer. Excellent tailset & feet. Needs to settle more on the move.
JD (2) 1 Newman’s Leazehond Lightning Bolt, correct size male with a coat to fit. Excellent shape & coupling short & strong. Good skull shape but ears could be closer for my taste. Moving freely; 2 Edwards & Rousseau’s Torrikees van Heusen.
ND (1) 1 Tew & Scroggs’ Bargeway Just Me, I was truly washed by this happy extrovert! Excellent colour & harness marks but sadly he fails in movement.
PGD (5) 1 Waller’s Brykin Big Chief, nice size with good coat colour & quantity & making a lovely overall outline. Excellent tailset & moving with precision; 2 Wilkins’ Whizzkees Onyx Sampson; 3 Houghton’s Liefkees Ambassador.
LD (6) 1 Andrews’ Neradmik Help The Hero at Maldine, lovely male who moved soundly & freely. Standing square he presents a typical picture of a Kees to me. Lovely coat colours with real grey & the clean cream legs. Excellent head with lovely almond eye, & there were not too many of those. Small ears that fit the head, positioned well. Moving soundly up & down & presenting a nice balanced side gait. Hard to fault him. BIS; 2 Bennett’s Zandvoort Dream Stone; 3 Pattison’s Eastkees Time Lord.
OD (4) 1 Hopkins’ Helkeesen Regal Surfer among Serenaubach, nice sized male standing foursquare. His grey is good but markings could be better defined. Excellent neck & elbows set close to well developed body. Excellent feet. Trotting out well, quite soundly; 2 Wilkins’ Ch Pommary Quick Silver at Whizzkees; 3 Henman & Peterson’s Foxifayre Doctor Zhivago.
VD (3) Three lovely veteran males all who strongly believe that their old age is yet to come! 1 Hills’ Plymkees First Edition, bigger than I usually like but with a lovely foxy head, pointed ears & lovely expression overall. Stands four square but coupling could be shorter. Very sound on the move; 2 Hills’ Plymkees Star Class; 3 Bell’s Allforus Top Gun.
Breeders D (2) 1 Hills’ Plymkees Cool Dude, rather up on size, but as sound as can be. Good head & clean legs. Tail set OK; 2 Luckhurst’s Gavimir Demon King, full of type & excels in coupling & tailset. Rear action very weak.

MPB (3) 1 Gregory’s Amikirs Bubblelicious, foxy head on this pretty girl. Excels in colour & standing square & correctly. OK for leg length; 2 Bardsley’s Neradmik High Society at Skathki, excellent presentation on this young lady. Slightly richer colour than 1. Tailset could be higher & coupling shorter.
PB (4) 1 Pattison’s Eastkees Daisy Mayhem, excellent in her moderation & overall soundness. Lovely colour & cream legs. Attractive spitzy head & well set ears; 2 Gregory’s Amikirs Bubblelicious, lot of body on this young lady, does not need any more. Beautifully presented & moving soundly. Colour needs to clear a bit on body & legs; 3 Tew’s Bargeway Neat & Tidy.
YB (2) Two very different bitches here. 1 White’s Neradmik Meant To Be with Whitchakees, taller & with a lot of bone, she scores in absolute soundness. Excellently presented but she does not need any more body; 2 Pattison’s Eastkees Sunday Girl, more lightly framed bitch, needs more bone & coat to fit the frame. Colour on legs prominent.
NB (2) 1 Gregory’s Amikirs Bubbleliciou, prefer her foreface, rear action & colour pattern to 2 Redler & Wheatley’s Pommary Almost An Angel.
PGB (2) 1 Hopkins’ Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach, a lovely grey colour & with a very full & crisp jacket, harness marks could be more pronounced. Many good conformation qualities when you go over her. Excellent tailset & exceptional rear action. Front could be steadier, but overall a nice bitch.
LB (4) 1 Saunders’ Liefkees Angelika, lovely square bitch who impresses for colour, markings & clean legs. Tail set OK, coupling could be shorter but not broader. Excellent feet; 2 Harding’s Amikirs Amour, very well coated girl, not enjoying the mats. Very reluctant on the move. Colour below hock joint.
OB (5) 1 Matthews’ Ch Eastkees Winter Mist, quality bitch who is a small package but so well put together. Standing four square & as square as can be with her excellent leg proportions & her tail well on top. She excels in head & neck & moves with spirit & precision. Absolutely sound. Markings are correct but could be greyer. However, taking the whole dog into consideration, she was my BB; 2 Pattison’s Eastkees Timeless Love. slightly larger framed girl but of great quality. Excellent leg length & clean legs. Coupling is strong but could be a mite shorter. Excellent head; 3 Wilkins’ Ch Whizzkees Silver Slipper.
VB (7) 1 Goddard’s Ch Swashway Drama Queen, I really quite fell for this lady. Obviously in spay coat, she still presents so many virtues of the breed. Her conformation is only hidden by the delights she has obviously enjoyed in her later years. Having said that, she is exceptionally hard in muscletone. For soundness & agility on the move, I could not deny her this class; 2 Newman’s Leazehond Maddy Moonlight; 3 Saunders’ Ch Liefkees Albertine; 4 Waller’s Brykin Bandora.
Breeders B (4) 1 Saunders’ Liefkees Annabell, lovely type of girl. Good neck, body, topline & tailset. Good markings. Short level croup & excellent tailset. Good clean legs. Needs to settle more & show more consistency on the move; 2 Hills’ Plymkees Limited Edition; 3 Newman’s Leazehond Moondust Cascade.
Brace (3) 1 Hopkins’, a couple rather than a brace, but I think they complimented each other very well. Very typy, lovely colours & correctly marked; 2 Hills’, two boys, who, to put it in the vernacular, were feeling their oats, strong & virile males!
