Keeshonds
I was pleased with the entry, both numerically and in quality and all were shown in pretty good coat and condition. The standard is very specific regarding black lips and sadly today I found the quality of the pigmentation quite poor in many of the dogs, several I admired for their other qualities had almost pink lips which really detracts from the overall impression when studying the head. Maybe this has come about with more of the lighter coat colours being shown but either way I feel that it is something that needs watching in your breeding programmes. Thank you for your sportsmanship and applause for the winners.

PD(1) 1st Hicksons Natlou’s Young Pretender under Kichagi, 11m, well grown and very advanced in coat, masculine but not overdone, width to his flat skull with definite stop and eyes of good shape with defined spectacles, good front, just enough neck, well ribbed up with firm topline and tailset, very good definition to hindquarters and particularly well muscled, moves out freely, BPD.

JD(3,1abs) 1st Brunts Zandvoort Dream Machine, compact and well balanced, liked his head and expression, neatest of ears, good stop, very clean in neck and shoulder, well ribbed and short coupled, tail set and carried high, good angulation to quarters, coat still to clear but new growth of good texture, moves out very respectably. 2nd Wilkes Pommary Ashu Lodale for Dakaraikees, well grown lad with substance to match, persisted in flying his ears just spoiling expression but head properties are well laid out, yet to develop in chest and rib, good topline and tailset, can really move out and covers the ground with ease, shown in quality coat.

PGD(2) 1st Gates Valindale What Do You Think about Lacetrom, another very compact and balanced male, flat skull with defined stop, best of dark eyes of excellent shape and well set, good neck and shoulder, tight round feet, well ribbed up and carried back, firm topline and loin, double curled tail set high, good definition to quarters and well muscled up, moves out stylishly holding his shape. 2nd Hills Plymkees First Edition, shown in good harsh dark coat, not quite so compact as 1 but still well balanced, would benefit from filling his frame a touch more, firm topline and tailset, action a touch stilted in profile.

LD(6,1) 1st Newmans Leazehound Edmundson, super sound construction, good shape and balance, wedgy head properties well laid out to give good expression, best neck in the class, appeals for leg length proportions, firm level topline with tail carried high, just enough rear angulation, moves out very soundly but felt he could show a bit more enthusiasm. 2nd Blomfields Valindale What Ever, 18m and still some way to go in his development, wedge head with super eye shape and placement, depth to brisket, good topline and quarters, shown in harsh coat, true enough on the move. 3rd Roses Rossvale Sacred Spirit to Esorkees.

OD(9) 1st Bennett & Savages Ch Thorsdale Trademark, dog of good size who stood away for his excellent Keeshond breed type, shown in top quality coat of excellent colour and texture he could not be denied this good class, head properties spot on and the whole set on an excellent arched neck, shoulders are well laid and front is true, developed ribcage with leg length in balance, firm topline and well defined hindquarters, true easy mover who took the CC & BOB and performed well in the group to make the cut. 2nd Days Allforus Dice Master for Spitzcav, close up and also shown in excellent form, masculine head and good dark eye, straight forelimbs down to tight feet, also has a good arched neck, deep well sprung ribs, good topline and tail set and carried high, decent angulation to quarters, excellent east mover, RCC. 3rd Pattisons Eastkees Licence to Love.

PB(1) 1st Pattisons Eastkees Winter Mist, 7m with lovely outgoing temperament, feminine with everything in the right place, lovely dark eye of good shape and well set, defined stop, good clean neck and front to tight round feet, ribbing good for age, tail carried high, good rear construction, quality coat coming, moves out in a very smart and assured fashion, BP.

JB(5,2) 1st Wilkins Whizzkees Silver Slipper, dog and handler took time to settle but worth waiting for, compact and well balanced, attractive head and expression, dark eye of good shape and set, excellent pigmentation, decent front, shoulder and neck, firm topline, tail set high, sound rear and action once the pair got it sorted. 2nd Hills Pommary Talluhal at Plymkees, quality miss who is at that in between stage in her development, not as compact as 1, presents a very clean outline, steady easy mover with quality coat coming. 3rd Hicksons Kichagi Moonlight Kisses.

PGB(8,4) 1st Bardsleys Baleissa Catwalk Queen, scores highly on balance and arch to neck, feminine and solidly constructed without exaggeration, well laid out head with dark eye and defined stop, straight front to tight round feet, depth to chest and ribs well sprung, level topline and tail set high, good rear definition, shown in quality coat, good true mover. 2nd Lushs Zandvoort Heavens Dream for Ednaaron, full of quality and shown in harsh dark coat, neat ears and good shape to eyes giving appealing expression, depth to chest and firm in topline, tidy mover. 3rd Passmores Torrikees with Attitude.

LB(10,1) 1st Smiths Eastkees Diamond Image, ultra feminine, topped this very even class with her balance and style, feminine head with super ear and eye placement and defined spectacles, excellent pigmentation, very good neck and carriage, good shoulders down to straight forelimbs and neat feet, well ribbed and coupled, high set tail and balanced hindquarters, shown in quality harsh coat and moves out smartly, pleased to award her the CC. 2nd Gregorys Neradmik Scandalous at Natlou, another bitch of high quality with many virtues to her credit, not quite the steady showmanship of 1 but must always be in contention. 3rd Trueloves Neradmik Baiodora Lady D’Winter.

OB(7) 1st Austins Valindale Darling Girl for Chotahkees, well grown and stood away for her excellent balance and clean outline, very feminine in head without a hint of exaggeration, super for eye and expression, well constructed forequarters and straight limbs, well ribbed and bodied, firm topline and tailset, quality coat, very true and effortless mover, RCC. 2nd Bells Allforus Tumbling Dice, believe I have admired before, matured on well and also very clean in outline and balance, accurate easy action. 3rd Brewers Ch/Ir Ch Helkeesen Eventful.
