The whole of WELKS showground was awash and shrouded in rainwater but the Keeshond fraternity carried on regardless. Exhibitors endeavoured to dry their dogs but to add insult to injury the mud under foot was quite often slippery. Judging inside helped us all get a little drier but not as much as we had hoped.
What a delight to see so many puppies in the ring and on the whole they were very good. I look forward to watching their progress and I am sure they will give their owners a lot of pleasure in the years to come.
This was a quality entry and at times I was spoilt for choice and some difficult decisions were made and placings could and will change in the future.
I would like to thank WELKS Committee for their hospitality and the opportunity to judge our lovely breed.

MINOR PUPPY DOG – 3. Three lovely puppies. 1st : SHARP BALE’S NERADMIK HANDSOME HERO Lovely square shaped boy. Well coated & good ear set. He is one to watch. Foxy head and expression with correct spectacles. Tail well set over back showing an excellent profile. Well coated & smart. I will watch this boy’s progress with great interest. Stood four square and straight, nicely boned with good straight front. I feel he is rather special, but then maybe it’s in his name? 2nd : ANDREWS’ NERADMIK HELP THE HERO AT MALDINE Litter brother of 1 showing all the same attributes required of a Keeshond. But needs more practice standing and moving. Good tail set, moved well, good ears. Not a lot of difference between these two; will change places in the future. 3rd : TEW’S BARGEWAY MR BOJANGLES

PUPPY DOG – 2, 1AB. 1st : REED’S BYQUY BECAUSE YOU CAN Ears down, good teeth. Very smart on the move, good colour & markings. Look forward to seeing him next year.

JUNIOR DOG – 3, 1AB 1st : TEW’S BARGEWAY KEEN TO RUMBLE Good spectacle markings with typical Keeshond had & face. Movement reasonable but could be more positive. 2nd : EGGLESTON’S BERT VON RICARA (IMP) Stood smartly four square showing a good outline. Well placed ears, stood & showed well.

POST GRADUATE DOG – 2 1st : DAVIES’ ROSSVALE FRANKLY MY DEAR KYROSS Good coat & markings, teeth very good. He really didn’t want to show today. Well boned with good coat. 2nd : LINDSAY’S ENREVEYAR EXCEPTIONAL WITH MEZANDA Good coat & markings, moved OK. Well placed ears & good teeth.

LIMIT DOG – 2 1st : LUCKHURST’S GAVIMIR CHECKMATE RDCC A true showman, well deserved his place. Good colour & markings. Worked well with his handler and knew what to do to catch the judge’s eye. 2nd : FEIST’S NERADMIK VALENTINO Showed little interest today & did not respond to his handler as usual. Good coast & markings, good bone & compact body. Nice straight front.

OPEN DOG – 2 1st : MILES & CULLEN’S CH AM CH KEMONTS SKYLINE’S GAME BOY (IMP USA) An outstanding representative of our breed. Well balanced giving us all a chance to view his clear cut outlines with well balanced compact body & excellent bone. An outstanding dog DCC. 2nd : LUCKHURST’S GAVIMIR DEMON KING

MINOR PUPPY BITCH – 3 1st : FEIST’S NERADMIK KISSING GAME Small young lady. Good colour & texture, teeth good, needs more concentration – but that will come as she is older. 2nd : SHARP-BALE & WHITE’S NERADMIK SUNDAY LOVIN Another super young lady, I am sure these two will change places often. Good colour & texture. Good teeth good straight front. 3rd : WHITE’S NERADMIK MEANT TO BE WITH WHITCHAKEES

PUPPY BITCH – 3, 1AB 1st : REED’S BYQUY BECAUSE OF YOU Look good all round stood well. Good colour OK on the move. Coat & markings & teeth all good. 2nd : JARDINE’S COLLCRIST DOLLY GIRL Reluctant to show today but I’m sure with more practice & frequenting more shows she will improve.

JUNIOR BITCH – 3 1st : HICKSON’S KICHIGAI’S MOONLIGHT N’VODKA Very feminine. Good tail set, one to watch in the future. Movement needs to tighten up to show off her coat & style. Two very nice bitches who I feel will have a good future. 2nd : GREGORY’S AMIKIRS SWEET REVENGE Showed what good colour she has especially on the move. Good drive. 3rd : LUCKHURST’S GAVIMIR BLACK SWAN

LIMIT BITCH – 4 1st : AUSTIN’S CHOTAHKEES TRULY GORGEOUS Lovely bitch & lives up to her name. correct size, good tail reach of neck. Good ears & spectacles. Colour & markings good moved very well deserved her crown. CC & BOB 2nd : CARTER’S AMIKIRS ARABELLA Lovely outline with good colour & markings. Moved very well. Ear set good, well deserves RCC nicely put together. 3rd : ROSE’S NERADMIK KISSES N GIGGLES FOR ESORKESS

OPEN BITCH – 3 1st : SHARP BALE’S CH LADY GODIVA’S GUILTY PLEASURES WITH NERADMIK (IMP) Beautiful head with nicely shaped ears. Good ear set good tail set over back. Colour & markings super the whole gives a beautiful picture. 2nd : MATTHEWS’ EASTKEES WINTER MIST Smaller bitch but out nicely together. Pretty head, short back making her complete a nice young lady. Presented herself well. Worked well with handler. 3rd : BARDSLEY’S CH BALEISSA CATWALK QUEEN ShCM
