Thank you for a good entry. A lot of the exhibits were not in their best coats – important when the coat & colours are a distinctive part of breed type. I felt that there were too many carrying excess weight & so lost out on the brisk sharpness of a Spitz breed.

My critiques are not as detailed as usual for which I apologise – I was not on top form on the day with a bout of food poisoning. My apologies. Many thanks to my stewards for keeping me going.

MPD (3) 1 Matthews & Ransley’s Szaryk Dutch Bargemaster with Valindale, 6 months, lovely shape & proportion. Wedge shaped head with good ears. Eyes could be a shade darker. Very good movements – promising to have a good coat; 2 Brunt’s Zandvoort Mr Bond, 8 months, carrying too much weight which shows in his topline. Good head & dark eye. Ears could be smaller. Good markings & coat; 3 Watkins’ Ursas Sumbarsky Pramen.
PD (1) 1 Harris’ Neradmik Cary Grant for Watchkees, 10½ months, good size & proportions. Just coming into harsh coat. Good quarters. Needs time to finish in head. Ears a little large. Good movement & carriage.
JD (2) 1 Peck & Matthews’ Byquy Workin Boots, 13 months of correct size & good colours & markings. I liked his head & eye & ears. Tailset & carriage could be better. Moved with brisk stride; 2 King’s Allforus Terrific Turtle, 12 months, top sized dog of very good coat & colour. Good legs & feet. Ears a little wide set. Carrying too much weight which showed in his action & topline.
YD (5,1a) 1 Brunt’s Zandvoort Purrsonal Life, 12 months, short, square & compact & with a brisk stride. He could have a little more neck to balance him. Excellent coat texture & colours. Brisk accurate movement; 2 Miles, Dean & Isles’ Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek, almost 2 years, bigger dog who is very heavily coated. Square build. I’d prefer a little more angulation in front & this showed in his front action; 3 Lindsay’s Mezanda Merry Starshower.
PGD (1) 1 Hickson’s Kichigai’s Only The Lonely, 22 months, quality dog of lovely type. He is squarely built with lovely coat, markings & texture. Good head & neat ears. Brisk stride from good angulation. Should have a good future, won CC. In the challenge for BOB he insisted on pacing – so needs some more ring training.
LD (1) 1 Robinson’s Samkees From Malta With Love, 2 years of standard size but shown too heavy & this affected his movement. Coat is a little soft.
OD (2) 1 Harris’ Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees, 4 years, good size & proportions & good movement on which he scored. Has good leg length & brisk action. I’d prefer better coat colours & markings. RCC; 2 Miles, Cullen & Brown’s Ch Rossvale’s Legacy for Lekkerbek, 4 years, lovely coated dog but he was shown too heavy & this took away from his balance & movement.

MPB (2) 1 White’s Neradmik Vanilla Ice at Morvania, 8 months, beautiful type with excellent head & beautiful eyes. Correct markings & coat texture. She can grow on a little but she has lovely type. Should have a good future. I liked her a lot; 2 Brunt’s Zandvoort Ursula Andress, almost 8 months, slightly bigger mould. Feminine head – a little longer that the winner for balance & not as coordinated as the winner.
PB (2) 1 Sharp-Bale’s Neradmik Grace Kelly, 10 months, lovely quality & breed type throughout. Distinct colours & markings & a very good head, ears & eyes. Excellent quarters & tail. Brisk sound movement. I would like just a little more leg for balance to be hypercritical but she looks set for a good future. BP; 2 Watkins’ Samoykees Faya By Moonlight, 8 months, bigger bitch with good leg length, bone & feet. Ears a little wide set. Tailset detracts from her topline.
JB (4) 1 Hickson’s Kichigai Magic Dancer, 14 months, lovely quality & colours & coat. Excellent head & eye. Just a touch long for balance but she scored on topline & neck to win this; 2 Tew’s Zandvoort Purrsonal Touch for Bargeway, 18 months. I loved her squareness & shape & with a beautiful head. Excellent bone & feet. Moved soundly. Carrying too much weight on her well sprung ribs & this detracted from her neck & topline otherwise she might well have reversed this placing; 3 Marshall’s Torrikees Made In Heaven.
YB (2) 1 Passmore’s Torrikees Lust For Life, 12 months, beautiful bitch all though. Lovely balance, colours with distinct markings. Very good head & eyes but I’d prefer the ears a touch smaller. Brisk accurate movements. Has lovely type & quality. RCC; 2 Lindsay’s Mezanda Melys Sparkles, 18 months, longer bitch who was between coats & this showed in her topline. I liked her head & eye & she has ears of the correct size & shape – which were not so frequently seen in the entry.
PGB (5,2) Difficult choice. 1 Henman & Collins’ Allforus Tangfastic Foxifayre, 12 months top sized bitch who is a touch long for perfect balance but she won this place on distinct coat colours & markings. Ears a little large; 2 Schulz’s Neradmik Kiss Me Kate to Skydust, 23 months squarely built bitch of better size but her colours & markings could be better. Ready for a new coat; 3 Tew’s Bargeway Quest For Fame.
LB (5,1) 1 Gregory’s Amikirs Fabulicious Time, what I was looking for in shape & also in coat colour, texture & markings. Great type all through & she went briskly with accurate movements & good carriage. CC & BOB; 2 White’s Neradmik Dear Darling of Whitchakees, made a good picture standing with neck, coat, markings & a very good head. Lengthened on the move; 3 McKean’s Kichigai This Girl Is Mine at Yawren.
OB (7,2) 1 Bardsley’s Ch Neradmik Ruby Slipper for Skathki, in lovely coat of good colour & defined markings. A very brisk, accurate mover. Feminine head & good eyes. She is a little long for balance & that pipped her in the challenge, the two who beat her being a little more compact; 2 Matthews & Atkinson’s Winklestar Anthe with Valindale, appealed greatly for size & squareness. Excellent type & movement. Not in her best coat on the day; 3 Tew’s Ch Bargeway Neat And Tidy.
