05/6 Breed Notes – KC open 2023

Sorry about these notes being so late, having done them last week, I’ve just realised that I completely forgot to load them into cyber space – but better late than never!!

At the weekend it was the Keeshond Club’s January open show, held as usual at Roade Village Hall. The judge was Richard Morris who had drawn an entry of 27 Keesies with 8 absentees. The dog classes were somewhat depleted with no entries in Minor Puppy, Junior, Novice and Post Graduate Dog, whilst in bitches the Puppy, Junior, Novice and Limit entries were all absent.

Best Dog and Best Veteran in Show was Joan Miles and her daughter Sarah’s Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Ch Neradmik Miss Holly Berry)

Reserve Best Dog went to the second in Open, Sharon and George Rose’s Rossvale Endeavour to Esorkees (Zandvoort Purrsonal Life x Ch Rossvale hidden Destiny) with Morse’s son Lewis – Dianakeees Inspector Morse (Rossvale Endeavour with Esorkees x Ednaaron Moon Dance) being Best Puppy in Show.

Best Bitch with Best of Breed was Matthews & Lee’s Ch Winklestar Aurora at Valindale JW (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (Imp USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) handled as usual by David, whilst Reserve Best Bitch was Gill Brunt’s Ch Vanstrand Quantum of Solace (Ednaaron Hawkweed of Vanstrand x Leazehond Starshine Galaxy for Vanstrand) from Veteran.

Jan Mason was judging the Special Awards Classes; the winner of Special Yearling Dog or Bitch was Mark Redler’s Keitakees You Are My World, Special Limit Dog or Bitch Vikki Marshall’s Arabesque At Devonia and Special Open Dog or Bitch was Tracy Lee’s Ch Winklestar Aurora at Valindale
