Gill Brunt has finally got all the claims for the Club’s Annual Trophies sorted and the results are as follows:
The Kultz Trophy for Top Kennel was Devonia (Vikki Marshall) with 104 points. For the first time in eight years we have different dogs winning both the Galdrik Cup for Top Stud Dog – Mel Harris’ Ch Neradmik All About The Boy at Watchkees (173 points) and the Galdrikette Cup for Top Brood Bitch was won by the Hicksons’ Kichigai’s Lilac Wine (173 points)
The Vanglede Memorial Trophy for most wins at Club Shows was a repeat of last year – Gill Brunt’s Zandvoort Mr Bond with 19 points. The Ch Waakzaam Waalre Trophy for Breeder of Top Junior went to the Hicksons’ Kichigai Uptown Girl (88 points) The Duroya Trophy for Top Winning Dog without a CC was Arabesque at Devonia (166 points)
The Ruyde of Rayverne Goblet for Dog or Bitch winning the most RCC’s was won by Kichigai Uptown Girl with a total of 7 RBCC’s and the Keetah Trophy for Top Junior Handler again was Callum Wright. The Enreveyar Coffee Set for Our Dogs’ Top Dog was a repeat of last year, Mel Harris’ Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees and the Enreveyar Cup for Our Dogs’ Top Puppy was Toby’s son Kichgai Boy Is Back In Town for Watchkees.
Winner of the Boreasvale Memorial Trophy for Best Veteran was Tom and Caroline Gate and Michelle Wright’s Lacetrom Cruivie VW with 32 points. Two more repeats of last year are the Ch Am Can Ch Kemont’s Skyline Game Boy (Ferris) Annual Progeny Cup for Top Stud which won again by Gill Brunt’s Ch Zandvoort Dream Machine with 27 points and the Shelderon Cup Brood Bitch Award by Gill’s Ch Vanstrand Quantum of Solace with 31 points. Sad news that Margaret Burdon died last week. Although known in the north-east for showing Shelties (and latterly Jap Spitz) Margaret will be best remembered by people in the breed for successfully campaigning Denka – Ch Desanti Iceberg, owned her late daughter, Jackie Keepin. After Jackie died, Margaret attended a few club shows accompanied by her other daughter Lynne Pinkney. As Margaret Pinkney, she also served on the NoEKC committee for a short while
