05 Breed Notes – KC Open 2018

The Keeshond Club held their January open show at Roade Village Hall, where Judge Ian Blackshaw had drawn an entry of 47 dogs with 9 absentees and it turned out to be a day for the youngsters.

Best Dog was the winner of the Junior Class, Matthews & Ransley’s Szaryk Dutch Bargemaster with Valindale (Ch Wund-R Y Workin For A Livin at Szaryk (Imp USA) x Keesridge Faithrustnpixiedust at Szaryk (Imp USA)) handled by David Matthews. Reserve Best Dog came from Post Graduate, Sue Christopher’s Neradmik Canache At Bisukees (Ch Samkees With Love to Neradmik x Ch Neradmik Miss Hollyberry) handled by breeder Jean Sharp Bale.

Best Bitch and Best in Show also came from Junior, Audrey White’s young Neradmik Vanilla Ice Morvania (Ch Samkees With Love to Neradmik x Ch Neradmik Miss Hollyberry). Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy was Jane Saunders’ Liefkees Adina (Ch Wund-R Y Workin For A Livin at Szaryk (Imp USA) x Liefkees Angelika)

The show started at 10.00am with the Special Awards Classes, judged by Dave Chapman; who had 13 keesies entered with just 2 absentees.
Winner of Special Yearling Dog Or Bitch was Jane Saunders’ Liefkees Adina, Special Limit Dog Or Bitch was the Hickson’s Kichigai Lilac Wine and the winner of Special Open Dog Or Bitch was Gill Brunt’s Zandvoort Purrsonal Life (AI)

By around 2.30pm it was all over and done with, enabling many exhibitors to get home whilst there was still day light.
