07 Breed Notes – February 2022

For our forthcoming show on Saturday, Thorpe Willoughby Village Hall has advised us that as a Covid precaution, we aren’t allowed to use their chairs; so you’ll need to remember to bring your own with you. Apart from the fact that it is mid-February, it might be an idea if everyone wraps up extra warmly as it could be that some doors are kept open to improve ventilation.

The show (which has drawn an entry of 47 dogs making 65 entries) opens at 1.00pm with the judging of the Special Awards Classes starting at 1.30pm followed by the Open Show itself. There will be lots of freshly baked cakes etc to buy from the kitchen, along with made to order sandwiches and hot home-made soup.

Raffle prizes will be gratefully received and back by popular demand, jars of jam will be available to buy.

The next Keesie walk is being held up in the North East on Sunday 6th March at Herrington Country Park DH4 7EL; with everyone meeting in the main car park at 11.30. Further details can be found on the Club’s FB page or you can contact Allison Stephenson directly.

For Crufts, our judge Stuart Mallard has drawn an entry of 49 Keesies (19 dogs & 30 bitches) and we are second in the ring after 49 Schnauzers in Hall 1, Ring 1 on Saturday 12th March.
