16 Breed Notes – SUBC 2026

At Scottish Utility Breeds at the weekend, we were first in the ring with a 9.00am start for judge Gill Brunt (Zandvoort), who was awarding CC’s for the 2nd time (her 1st appointment was at BUBA in 2023). Gill had drawn an entry of 20 dogs with three absentees; Post Graduate Dog was the only class with no entries and judging was all over by 10.35am.

The DCC with Best of Breed went to Joan Miles, daughter Sarah Dean and the Cullen’s Ch Skyline’s Outlander at Lekkerbek (imp USA)(Am Ch Windrift’s Dirty Hairy x Am Ch Skyline’s Mine Eyes Have Seen) with the RDCC going to the Veteran winner, Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Rus) (Rus Ch Naidjel Iz Mirashela x Rus Ch Felicita Iz Mirashela) It was worth the long trip north as Vikki and Ghost ended the day by winning Reserve Best Veteran in Show from Stuart Plane.

It was a first big green card for Caron Bell’s Allforus Miracle of Love (Torrikees Crazy Love x Allforus Game Set N’Match) from Post Graduate; with the RBCC going to the Gate’s Ch Winklestar Alsephina via Lacetrom (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (imp USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) handled as usual by Michelle Wright.

Best Puppy was the Divers’ Neradmik Let There Be Rock at Murmansk (Ch Aragorn Elessar Elfiyskiy Berill x Ch Neradmik Pandora’s Box) handled by Jane Usher. Jane and young Angus continued their winning streak as they got a first place in the Minor Puppy Stakes from Irene McManus, winning £10 and then finished off by getting Reserve Best Puppy in Show under Dave Killilea.
