The long awaited Leeds schedule has now finally appeared on Higham Press and the Keesie judge is Janice Bannister who is awarding CC’s in the breed for the first time. Unfortunately show details are sparse to say the least, presumably Leeds committee don’t or can’t make any final decisions until Boris finally confirms the country is fully ‘open for business’ at the end of June.
What Leeds’ do say though in the small print is that no chairs will be provided – so bring your own and that no pop up tents, gazebos, umbrellas etc will be allowed. They state that there will be adequate cover under the marquees as no benching will be provided – so more, larger marquees or no social distancing, that is the question!
Presumably all these questions (& more) will be answered when passes are issued. Talking of passes, they state that there will be no provision for spectator dogs. So if you have dogs entered only for our Ch show and not Leeds, then you’ll need to get in touch with Ian for NoEKC passes. Also if you are considering entering the NoEKC’s Ch only, be warned that Leeds charges £4 car parking if prepaid or £8 on the day.
Hopefully our schedule will appear the week after next and it will be on-line entries only via Cavalier Impressions. All members will be sent a copy and for non-members, details will be available from Cavalier and will also be on the NoEKC’s website under the Future Shows heading.
Due to restrictions which may or may not be around, no trophies will be handed out at the show and the Trophy Stewards from both breed clubs have requested that all cups and trophies be returned at their next show – that’s Leeds for the NoEKC and Bath for the Keeshond Club.
