23-25 Breed Notes – 3 C’ties, B’Union & B’pool 2022

Apologies for a lack of notes, but at the moment time seems to be even flying by faster than the shows, which are coming in thick and fast with a Ch show every weekend at the moment

Two weeks ago it was Three Counties where our judge was Natasha Hickson (Natlou) was judging without CC’s. Natasha had drawn an entry of 15 Keesies, who were 3rd in the ring after 45 Mini Schnauzers and 22 Akita Inus. There were 4 absentees and no entries for Junior Dog and Open & Veteran Bitch

Best Dog with Best of Breed was Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Arabesque At Devonia (Imp Rus) (Rus Ch Naidjel Iz Mirashela X Rus Ch Felicita Iz Mirashela) with Reserve Best Dog going to the Post Graduate winner Olwyn Watkins’ Eerondaali Orlando (Imp Fin) (Fin Ch Eerondaali Break Every Rule x Eerondaali Ice Queen) handled by Stacey.

Best Bitch was Matthews & Lee’s Winklestar Aurora at Valindale (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (IMP USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) handled as usual by David. Reserve Best Bitch was Mark Redler’s Keitakees You Are My World Boy (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Byquy Kinky Boots at Keitakees) who was also Best Puppy.

The following weekend it was Border Union; our judge was Peter Young (who last judged us at South Wales in 2019) and he had drawn an entry of 25 dogs with just one absentee. Keesies were 3rd in the ring after 26 Akitas and 32 Standard Poodles. Judging started around 1.00pm and with no entries in Puppy Dog or Limit Bitch it was all done by 3.00pm.

The DCC with Best of Breed went to Debbie Hopkins’ Int Ch Quasars Brilliant Light van het Earlskamp Serenaubach (Imp Bel) (Am Ch Trumpet’s It’s Good To Be King (Imp USA) x Bel Ch Joyfull van het Earlskamp) with the RDCC going to to Natasha Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition)

Winning her crowning 3rd CC from Veteran was Wendy McKean’s Kichigai This Girl Is Mine at Yawren (Bert Von Ricara (imp DNK) ex Kichigai Special Edition) Lcie won her first CC five years ago at Crufts in 2017from Geraldine Clark and her second came a couple of months later at SKC from Ken Sinclair.

The RBCC went to Matthews & Lee’s Winklestar Aurora at Valindale (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (Imp USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) handled as usual by David. Best Puppy was Gill Brunt’s Goldgin Chanel (Imp Rus) TAF NAF (Rus Ch Rizheis Shain Iz Mirashela x Rus Ch Zareslava Iz Mirashela)

Then last Friday it was Blackpool’s turn where our judge was Jill Peake (her first appointment awarding CC’s for Keesies at was also at Blackpool in 2013) who had last judged us at Darlington in 2017and had drawn an entry of 23 dogs. Keesies were second in the ring, with a not before time of 10.00am, after 28 Schipperkes. Judging started at around 10.45am and with no entries in either Puppy or Junior Dog and just 17 Keesies present, it was all over by 12.00pm – just in time for lunch.

It was a crowning third CC for Mel Harris’s Kichigai Boy Is Back In Town for Watchkees (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees x Kichigai Lilac Wine) TJ’s first CC came this year at Manchester from Robin Searle, with his second at Southern Counties from Finnish judge Annukka Paloheimo Segersven .

The RDCC went to Joan Miles and her daughter Sarah’s Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Ch Neradmik Miss Holly Berry)

Keeping it in the family, the BCC with Best of Breed went to TJ’s sister Jade – Karin Hickson’s Kichigai Uptown Girl (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees x Kichigai Lilac Wine) and it was another RBCC for Matthews & Lee’s Winklestar Aurora at Valindale (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (IMP USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) There were no puppies present.
