23 Breed Notes – June 2021
Schedules for our Club Ch Show (which will be held at Harewood House with Leeds Ch Show on Friday 23 July) have now been sent to all members. This show replaces our November Ch show 2020 which was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Please note that no printed schedules are being sent out as a matter of course, but if you would prefer to receive a hard copy by post or if you know of anyone else who might wish to receive one, please send Ian Stubbings a stamped addressed envelope. The schedule can also be downloaded from Cavalier Impressions and the NoEKC website – listed under events.
For us this is very much a first step towards getting back to dog showing after the prolonged period of lockdown, and we hope that as many of you as possible will be able to support us.
Also attached is a file entitled ‘Important Exhibitor Information’ – which probably won’t answer all your questions, but is as much as we’ve been able to glean from Leeds so far!! Presumably Leeds committee don’t or can’t make any final decisions until Boris finally confirms the country is fully ‘open for business’ at the end of this month.
What Leeds’ do say though in the small print is that no chairs will be provided – so bring your own and that no pop up tents, gazebos, umbrellas etc will be allowed. They state that there will be adequate cover under the marquees as no benching will be provided – so more, larger marquees or no social distancing, that is the question!
Presumably all these questions (& more) will be answered when passes are issued. Talking of passes, they state that there will be no provision for spectator dogs. So if you have dogs entered only for our Ch show and not Leeds, then you’ll need to get in touch with Ian for NoEKC passes. Also if you are considering entering the NoEKC’s Ch only, be warned that Leeds charges £4 car parking if prepaid or a whopping £8 on the day.
Due to restrictions which may or may not be around, no trophies will be handed out at the show and the Trophy Stewards from both breed clubs have requested that all cups and trophies be returned at their next show – that’s Leeds for the NoEKC and Bath for the Keeshond Club.
