24 Breed Notes – 3 C’ties 2018

At Three Counties, Sue Butterfield was our substitute judge as the scheduled judge Jeane Waller (Brykin) had to withdraw due to ill health. We hope she is now feeling a bit better. There were 9 keesies entered with just 2 absentees (JD & OB) and there were no entries for either of the puppy or veteran classes.

Sue Lindsay ‘swept the board’ as it were as Best Dog with BOB from PG was her Mezanda Merry Starshower (Nor Ch Dungens Nice Guy x Mezanda Mai Starshine); Disney’s brother Ianto, Jenny Williams Mezanda Master Of Secrets at Druitz got the Reserve Best Dog from Open and their sister Pandora, Sue’s Mezanda Melys Sparkles got Reserve Best Bitch.
Sally Newman got Best Bitch with Leazehond Prairie Flower (Ch Neradmik Family Affair for Lekkerbek x Leazehond Moondust Cascade) from Junior.

For those of you who have been wondering what’s been going on about Border Union on social media, the society has released the following statement.
Border Union : Just spoken to the vets detailed in the concerned post regarding the cases of Canine infectious hepatitis in the area. The four dogs mentioned were puppies in the same litter, born to an unvaccinated mother. They were located about 20 miles out of the area. Hope this puts exhibitors’ minds at rest. The vet assured me modern vaccines eliminate the risk.
