26 Breed Notes – Paignton 2023

At Paignton our judge was Sue Smith (Sueacres) (who last judged us at BUBA in 2017) Sue had drawn an entry of 29 dogs with 3 absentees. There were no entries in either of the Special Beginners classes and Puppy Dog.

Keesies were scheduled to be 3rd in the ring after 27 Mini & 14 Toy Poodles, so judging didn’t start until after 12.00pm and finished around 2.15pm. After the horrendous wind and rain there the day before, it was a lovely day weatherwise with sun shine and a breeze, so the long wait wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

Gill Brunt had a good start to her holidays as she won a 2nd CC with Divnyi Drug Dar (Imp Rus)( (Cinerus Arctic Prince of Star x Rus Ch Divnyi Drug Gusja Lebed) from Limit, with the RDCC going to the Post Graduate winner, Sue Lindsay’s Mezanda Mystic Starman (Ednaaron Moon Light x Mezanda Melys Sparkles (AI)).

It was a crowning 3rd CC with Best of Breed for the Junior Bitch winner, Jean Sharp Bale’s Neradmik Pandora’s Box (Neradmik Canache at Bisukees x Ch Neradmik Grace Kelly (Imp Can)) Panda’s first CC came at the National this year from Millie Lambert and her second at Blackpool from Bert Easdon. The RBCC went down the line to the Veteran winner Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Torrikees Made in Heaven at Devonia (Ch Winklestar Hadar x Ch Torrikees Victoria’s Secret)
Best Puppy was Debbie Hopkins’ 6 months old baby, Serenaubach Andromeda (Elegant Sharm Galantnyi Kavaler x Serenaubach Auroras Dance)
