34 Breed Notes – Paignton & Bournemouth 2026

At Paignton Keesies were first in the ring with a 9.30am start for judge Sue Bird awarding CC’s for the second time (her first appointment was at Southern Counties in 2024) She had drawn an entry of 21 dogs with 4 absentees and there were no entries in the Special Beginners class or Post Graduate Dog.

It was a fourth CC and Best of Breed for Sue Lindsay’s Ch Mezanda Mystic Starman (Ednaaron Moonlight x Mezanda Melys Sparkle) with the RDCC going to the Veteran winner, Natasha Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley VW ShCex (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition)

And it was a third crowning CC for Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Devonia Black Pearl (Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Russ) x Torrikees Made In Heaven at Devonia) Cassie’s first CC was at WELKS this year from Jill Peak; with the second following at Bath under Donna Whincup.

The RBCC went to second in Open, Mark Redler & David Wheatley’s Ch Keitakees You Are My World (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Byquy Kinky Boots at Keitakees) and Best Puppy was Mel Harris & Jean Sharp-Bale’s Neradmik Shooting Star (Ch Aragorn Elessar Elfiyskiy Berill x Ch Neradmik Pandora’s Box)

Next stop was Bournemouth where there are no CC’s on offer for Keesies. Our judge was Russell Mosedale who had drawn an entry of 9 dogs with 3 absentees. There were no entries in Special Beginners Dog or Bitch, both Junior and Post Graduate classes, Limit and Open Dog and the Puppy Bitch was absent.

Best Dog with Best of Breed was the Veteran winner, Natasha Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley VW ShCex (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition) Reserve Best Dog went to second in Veteran, Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Rus) (Rus Ch Naidjel Iz Mirashela x Rus Ch Felicita Iz Mirashela)

Best Bitch was Anna Predmiestina’s Mama’s Plushy Devils Boss Of Me for Andemavis (Imp Ukr) (Ukr Ch Light Lorien Alasse x Marvlad Zhanel Zhuzhu) from Limit, with Reserve Best Bitch going to the Open winner, Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Devonia Black Pearl (Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Russ) x Torrikees Made In Heaven at Devonia)
Best Puppy was Mel Harris & Jean Sharp-Bale’s Neradmik Shooting Star (Ch Aragorn Elessar Elfiyskiy Berill x Ch Neradmik Pandora’s Box) who also got a 3rd place in the Puppy stakes, winning some pocket money.
