34&35 Breed Notes – B’mouth & WKC 2024

There are no CC’s on offer for Keeshonds at Bournemouth Ch show, where our judge was Penny Roberts. We were third in the ring after the German Spitz – 19 Kleins and 25 Mittels and Penny had drawn an entry of just 8 Keesies with 3 absentees. There were no entries in Junior and Limit Dog, both Post Graduate and Special Beginners classes and the 2 Limit bitches were absent.

Best Dog with Best of Breed from Veteran was Natasha Hickson’s Ch Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition) with Reserve Best Dog going to the Open winner Sean and Vikki Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Rus) ) (Rus Ch Naidjel iz Mirashela x Rus Ch Felicita iz Mirashela)
Best Bitch was Mark Redler & David Wheatley’s Ch Keitakees You Are My World (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Byquy Kinky Boots at Keitakees) and Reserve Best Bitch was Vikki & Sean’s Devonia’s Hakuna Matata JW (Serenaubach Lleuad Titan x Devonia Black Pearl) from Junior
Best Puppy was Joan Miles, daughter Sarah Dean and the Cullen’s Skyline’s Outlander at Lekkerbek (imp USA)(Am Ch Windrift’s Dirty Hairy x Am Ch Skyline’s Mine Eyes Have Seen

At Welsh Kennel Club, Utility day was Thursday where our judge was Steve Brown (Rossvale) (who last judged us at BUBA in 2021) who had drawn an entry of 22 dogs with 6 absentees. Keesies were second in the ring after 18 Chow Chows. There were no entries in Junior, Novice Dog, both Special Beginners classes, Puppy and Post Graduate Bitch and the Junior Bitch was absent; judging started around 11.00am and ended just after 12.00pm.

Winning his crowning third CC was Jane Ring’s Neradmik Shine On Harvey Moon (Imp Can)((Ikon’s Shine In The Spotlight x Neradmik Norma Jean) Kenny’s first CC was at Windsor this year from Karin Hickson and his second came the other week at Leeds from Hazel Fitzgibbon. The RDCC with Best Puppy was Joan Miles, daughter Sarah Dean and the Cullen’s Skyline’s Outlander at Lekkerbek (imp USA)(Am Ch Windrift’s Dirty Hairy x Am Ch Skyline’s Mine Eyes Have Seen)

The BCC with Best of Breed went to Andy and Jean’s Ch Sofia Loren Della Ginevrina (Imp Ita) (Carpe Diem Della Ginevrina x You Are My Everything Della Ginevrina) with the RBCC going to the Limit winner, Michelle, Tom & Caroline Gate’s Winklestar Alsephina via Lacetrom (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (imp USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) from Yearling, handled as usual by Michelle Wright.
