35 Breed Notes – 2021 D’field

It was Driffield’s first August Bank holiday Ch show, having swapped dates with SKC’s (ex) August show in 2020. There were no CC’s on offer and our judge, Elaine Stubbings (Vandersee) had drawn an entry of 9 keesies which was almost halved by 4 absentees.

Keesies had a generous classification, which meant there were no entries in Puppy Dog and Junior, Special Yearling, Post Graduate, Good Citizen Classes for both dogs and bitches. We were second in the ring after 69 bulldogs, so judging started at 12.30pm and with only 5 dogs to go over, was soon over by 1.00pm.

Best Dog was Natasha Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition) and Reserve Best Dog was Sharon and George Rose’s Rossvale Endeavour to Esorkees (Zandvoort Purrsonal Life x Ch Rossvale hidden Destiny) Sharon & Ben (Ch Rossvale Master Of Destiny for Esorkees) were Best Veteran.

Best Bitch with Best of Breed was Karin Hickson’s Kichigai’s Uptown Girl JW (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees x Kichigai Lilac Wine) with the Reserve and Best Puppy going to Dawn Gregory’s Amikirs Lovealicious (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees x Ch Amikirs Bubblelicious)

Pam Luckhurst (Gavimir) has been in the wars recently, having fallen and managing to fracture both her leg and ankle; which has meant a spell in hospital. Whilst she was in her local cottage hospital recuperating, her Lily (Gavimir Arum Lily) passed away, which couldn’t have been easy for all concerned.
On a more positive note Pam had the cast off last week so should be able to get more physio now and start to get around more. I’m sure a note from her friends will cheer her up.
