36a Breed Notes – August 2024

This week it’s just some info on both forthcoming club Ch shows – and it’s an early start for both!

The Keeshond Club’s Ch show (Judge Ernie Paterson has drawn an entry of 44 dogs) is being held in partnership with Birmingham City (at Stoneleigh Park, CV8 2LZ) on Saturday 31st August and is un-benched. The breed Ch show will be judged first in Hall 2a, Ring 11 with a 9.00am start. The City of Birmingham’s Keeshond judging by Derek Smith (entry of 44 dogs) will follow; passes are not required for dogs not entered in this show, you just need to state when going in that your dogs are for the breed show.

The NoEKC’s Ch show is being held in partnership in conjunction with Darlington Championship Show (Ripon Racecourse, HG4 1UG) on Sunday 15th September and this show is benched. The NoEKC’s Ch show (Judge Elisabeth Stillman from Sweden) will also be first in the ring starting at 9.15am in Pavilion C, Ring 22, followed in due course by the Darlington Ch Keeshond judging by Ian Blackshaw.
The schedule is available on www.haveadogday.co.uk and entries, which are online only, close on 30th August.
Darlington charge all exhibitors a £6 car parking fee which should be purchased via Higham Press by 27th August or it’s £8 on the day. Further details after entries have closed!
