37 Breed Notes – B’ham City & Richmond 2022

At Birmingham City awarding CC’s in the breed for the first time was all-rounder Keith Baldwin who had attracted an entry of 43 with 12 absentees. Keesies were 1st in the ring with a bright and early of a 9.00am start. There were no entries in Special Beginners Dog, both Graduate and Good Citizen classes and Veteran bitch and it was all done well before lunch time.

From the Junior class winning his first big green card with Best of Breed was David Peck’s Keitakees To Love Somebody at Byquy (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Byquy Kinky Boots at Keitakees) handled as usual by David Matthews. The RDCC went to the Open winner Natasha Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition)

It was a second CC for Val Tew’s Art Pride Bomb Explosive Beauty (Imp Rus) ((Cinerus Arctic Prince of Star x Rus Ch Divnyi Drug Gutedal Weiser) and a second RBCC for Sue Lindsay’s Watermyth Cassiopeia by Mezanda (Mezanda Merry Starshower x Lilli Marlina at Watermyth). Sue also got Best Puppy with Mezanda Mystic Starman (Ednaaron Moon Light x Mezanda Melys Sparkles (AI)).

The following weekend it was down to Richmond, where our scheduled judge Ken Sinclair was indisposed so had to withdraw from his appointment; stepping in at short notice was Jean Sharp Bale (Neradmik) as the replacement judge. Jean last judged us at LKA way back in 2013; there had been 35 Keesies entered, but with several Neradmik’s unable to be shown under their breeder, there were a total of 9 absentees. Again Keesies were first in the ring with 9.00am start; there were no entries in Yearling Dog, Post Graduate Dog, both Special Beginners classes and Minor Puppy Bitch.

The DCC went to Mel Harris’s Ch Kichigai Boy Is Back In Town for Watchkees (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees x Kichigai Lilac Wine) with the RDCC going to Sue Pattison’s Serenaubach Full Of Wonder (Int Ch Quasars Brilliant Light Van Het Earlskamp Serenaubach (Imp Bel) x Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach)

Winning her first big green card with Best of Breed was Carol Bardsley’s Skathki Emerald City (Ch Samkees With Love to Neradmik (Imp Mlt) x Ch Neradmik Ruby Slipper for Skathki) with the RBCC going to Karin Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Uptown Girl JW (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees x Kichigai Lilac Wine) Best Puppy was Sue Pattison’s Quest Eastkees Del Monte Dragnone (Imp It) (Jack Sparrow Del Monte Dragnone x Oceane At Monte Dragnone of Antarctic Angel)
