13 Breed Notes – March 2020

In light of the C19 epidemic and the Kennel Club’s directive to cancel all shows until the end of June, the Keeshond Club have reluctantly decided to cancel this year’s Championship show. It had originally been rescheduled for the 14th June, but as the venue is now closed, alternative dates provided were unsuitable.
Entry fees will be refunded as soon as possible. Geraldine Clark is trying to contact exhibitors individually, but if she hasn’t managed to be in touch with you by the 31st March, your cheques will be destroyed.

As it stands, the first eye testing sessions will be held at the NoEKC November Ch show and then at the Keeshond Club’s Ch show in April 2021. Their DOTY has also been affected and this has been rescheduled for the 8th August 2020, at the same venue, Roade Village Hall.

Due to the weeks, possibly months, ahead with movements restricted and training and shows of all types cancelled, I’m sure that I’m not the only one hoping to tackle their ‘to do’ list – may as well start off with good intentions if nothing else. I’ve made a start by grooming some dogs and giving the grass in the orchard its first cut of the year!! It was 17˚ here on Wednesday and we now have snow forecast for Sunday.

These are strange times we find ourselves in – stay safe everyone
