41 Breed Notes – KC Oct Open 2023

The Keeshond club held its October open show at the weekend. The Special Awards Classes were judged by Adrian Bicknell; winner of Special Yearling Dog or Bitch was Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Devonia’s Hakuna Matata, the Special Limit Dog or Bitch was absent and Vikki & Sean’s Arabesque at Devonia won Special Open Dog or Bitch.

Chris Toynton was the judge of the open show and he had drawn an entry of 28 dogs with 10 absentees. There were no entries in Puppy Dog, Novice Dog, Post Graduate Dog, Junior Bitch, Special Yearling Bitch, Novice Bitch and the Post Graduate Bitch was absent.

Best Dog, Reserve Best in Show, Best Opposite Sex and Best Veteran in Show was Natasha Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition) whilst Reserve Best Dog went to the winner of Open, Joan Miles and her daughter Sarah’s Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Ch Neradmik Miss Holly Berry)

Best Bitch and Best in Show was Matthews & Tracy Lee’s Ch Winklestar Aurora at Valindale (Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (IMP USA) x Winklestar Serendipity) handled as usual by David. Reserve Best Bitch went to the Limit winner, Shelley Johnston’s Tykees Full Of Chaos (Shelderon Stemmig Sage with Tykees x Leazehond Amber Steppes with Tykees)

Best Puppy in show was Susi Gardner’s Devonia’s Love Wil Find A Way for Manzanakees (Serenaubach Lleuad Titan x Devonia Black Pearl)
