I should have realised that it was going to be ‘one of those weeks’ when shutting my van door caused a brake light cover to drop off, exposing all the electrics. Not exactly what you want when it’s chucking it down with rain! I don’t think that any of us realise how much we take modern technology for granted until it stops working. A recent Windows 10 update threw a huge spanner in the works of my poor laptop; it’s taken well over a week to sort itself out and even now it’s still not made a full recovery. At least though it’s not terminal (fingers X’d) which I initially thought it was!
During this, the host of my websites had to change their server IP address, which meant that I wasn’t able to access or update any of the club sites for a few days during the migration. To cap it all, whilst that was going on, my router decided it couldn’t connect to the internet and it needed a new cable. Just a few of the little things we all now take for granted!! Anyway, things are now (almost) sorted and behaving and here’s finally some notes!
The North of England managed to pick a rare fine sunny day to hold its last committee meeting of the year. Fortunately the agenda items were routine and were relatively quickly dealt with, which meant that there were still a couple of hours of sunshine to enjoy when we got back home. A reminder that entries for the North of England’s Ch show close on Monday 21st October & full details can be found on the Club’s web site.
