41 Breed Notes – Sth Wales 2025

It was another mid-week show for Keesies at South Wales KA as Utility day was on Thursday and we were second in the ring after 33 Chows for judge Lorraine Bolton, who was awarding CC’s in the breed for the first time.
She had drawn an entry of 26 dogs with 4 absentees; there were no entries in either Junior or Post Graduate Dog and both the Minor Puppy and Good Citizen Dog Scheme classes.

Winning his crowning third CC with Best of Breed was Sue Lindsay’s Mezanda Mystic Starman ((Ednaaron Moonlight x Mezanda Melys Sparkle) His first CC was at BUBA in 2023 from judge Gill Brunt and his second followed soon after at Manchester in 2024 from David Cavill. The RDCC went to the Veteran winner, the Hickson’s Ch Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition)

Also winning her crowning third CC from Junior was Val Tew’s Bargeway Crystal Clear (Torrikees Purple Rein x Ch Art Pride Bomb Explosive Beauty (imp Rus)) Crystal’s first CC was this summer at WKC from judge Espen Engh and her second again followed shortly at Richmond from Keith Baldwin. Builth Wells is a lucky show for Val as 10 years ago she made up her first Ch there – Ch Bargeway Neat and Tidy.

The RBCC went to the Open winner, Vikki and Sean Marshall’s Devonia Black Pearl (Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Russ) x Torrikees Made In Heaven at Devonia) and Best Puppy was Alison Passmore’s Torrikees You Wear It Well (Jen’ndi’s New Adventure for La Lumiere D’hemera x Torrikees Freya (AI))
