43 Breed Notes – Midland C’ties 2018

At Midland Counties our judge was Jean Davies (who last judged us at South Wales in 2016) and she had drawn an entry of 30 dogs with four absentees; there was just the Post Graduate Bitch class with no entries.

It was a very leisurely start as not only were keesies second in the ring after Japanese Spitz (with a not before time of 11.15am) the clocks also went back giving an extra hour’s lie in – dogs permitting as their clocks certainly haven’t changed! It was eventually just gone 12.10pm when we were called into the ring and it was over by 2.15pm.

From Junior, winning his first CC with Best of Breed and Best Puppy was Carol Bardsley’s Skathki Just Got Wicked (Ch Samkees With Love to Neradmik (imp Mlt) x Ch Neradmik Ruby Slipper for Skathki) with the RDCC going to the Post Graduate winner, Mel Harris’ Neradmik Cary Grant for Watchkees (Imp Can) (Am Ch Designer’s Fedx x Can Ch Neradmik Academy Award).

Keeping it in the family it was a 4th CC for Archie’s sister Gracie, Jean Sharp Bale’s Ch Neradmik Grace Kelly (Imp Can) and the RBCC went to second in Open, Karin Hickson’s Ch Kichigai Magic Dancer JW (Kichigai Luke Skywalker x Kichigai Tiny Dancer)

Mel Harris and Toby, Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees ShCM JW went on to win the Eukanuba Champion Stakes under Judge Liz Cartledge, winning Product Vouchers and £25 prize money.

For the North of England’s Ch Show, Finnish judge Marja Talvitie has drawn an entry of 84 dogs making 103 entries. There will be a variety of Drinks and Home-made Food available from the Kitchen. Bacon Butties in the morning, Hot Meals and Snacks at Lunchtime and with lots of Home-made Cakes for afters! Hopefully we will be having a table top sale and Raffle Prizes are always welcomed. At Kirkintilloch, Lenzie and District Canine Society the other weekend, Keeshonds had just one class scheduled – open for Judge Arlene Clure (Redwitch) There were six keesies entered with no absentees. It was another Best of Breed for Tom and Caroline Gate’s Lacetrom Shuna (Ch Winklestar Hadar x Lacetrom Cruivie) handled as usual by daughter Michelle Wright; with Best Puppy going to Shelagh Craig’s Flatmeer Florisel (Bargeway Keen to Rumble x Flatmeer Fleurette) Michelle and Ziva went on to win Utility Group 3.
