44 Breed Notes – Mid C’ties 2025

At Midland counties our judge was Jean Sharp Bale (Neradmik) (who last judged us at Richmond in 2022) and she had drawn an entry of 26 Keesies with 7 absentees. We were second in the ring as Jean was doing Jap Spitz first, so judging didn’t start until around 11.30am. There were no entries in either of the Special Beginners classes or Post Graduate Dog, the Junior Dog was absent and it was over by 1.00pm.

It was worth the long journey and braving Storm Benjamin for Corentin Fedeli as winning a crowning third CC with Best of Breed was his Fr Ch Aragorn Elessar El’fiyskiy Berill (Pushistikoff Caesar x Almaznyi Istochnik Tantsuyuschaya Feya) Sulli was also short listed in the group by Frank Kane who had awarded him his first CC at Bath earlier this year. His second CC was from Laura Newman at the Keeshond Club’s Ch show in August.

It was another RDCC for Hickson’s Ch Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition) from Veteran.

Winning her first big green card and Best Puppy was Alison Passmore’s Torrikees You Wear It Well (Jen’ndi’s New Adventure for La Lumiere D’hemera x Torrikees Freya (AI)) with the RBCC going to the other end of the line – winner of Veteran Jane Saunders’ Liefkees Adina (Ch Wund R Y Workin For A Livin at Szaryk (imp USA) x Liefkees Angelika)

A reminder that entries for the NoEKC’s Open & Ch shows close this Friday – 31st October, with on-line entries only via Have A Dog Day
The show is at Thorpe Willoughby Village Hall, YO8 9PA on Sunday 16th November and opens at 9.00am, with the judging of the Open Show (judge Mhairi Aikman) starting at 9.30am followed by the SAC (judge Tyra Church (Tykees))
The Ch Show judging (Caroline Kisko) will not be before 10.00am and will follow on after the SAC.
Homemade hot food, cakes and refreshments will be available throughout the day and all contributions to the raffle table will be gratefully received.
