49 Breed Notes – BUBA 2021

Steve Brown (Rossvale) was our judge at BUBA (he last judged Keesies at the Keeshond Club Ch show in 2019) and Keesies were were first in the ring with a 9.30am start. Steve had drawn an entry of 32 dogs with 8 absentees and judging was over before 11.30am.

The Dog CC with Best of Breed went to Joan Miles and her daughter Sarah’s Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Ch Neradmik Miss Holly Berry) with the Reserve Dog CC going down the other end of the line to Jean Davies’ Neradmik Prince Charming of Kyross (Ch Samkees With Love to Neradmik (imp Mlt) x Ch Neradmik Grace Kelly (Imp Can)) the winner of Puppy Dog.

Winning her crowning third CC was Krishna Austin’s Chotahkees Don’t Stop Me Now (Ch Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek x Chotahkees Enchantress). Katya won her first CC at Southern Counties in 2019 from Dutch judge Nadjia Timmermans-Kadenko and her second came a couple of months later at Windsor from Geraldine Clark. Two and a half years and one litter later, Katya finally won her crown one week before her 7th birthday.

The Reserve BCC went to Jean Sharp Bale’s Ch Neradmik Berry’s Swan Song (Ch Samkees With Love to Neradmik (imp Mlt) x Ch Neradmik Miss Hollyberry) with Jean and Jane Ring’s Neradmik Tantrums ‘N’ Tiaras getting Best Puppy in Breed. Jane and Dolly went on to get a fourth place in the Puppy group from Judge Tim Ball.

Mel Harris and Toby (Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees JW ShCM) won the Veteran stakes; Natasha Hickson and Vinnie (Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley) got a third place in the Champions stakes and a fourth place went to Dawn Gregory and Amikirs Lovealicious in the Junior stakes

I’m sad to say that Pat King (Kingkeesy) passed away peacefully in her sleep on 7th December. Pat hadn’t been in the best of health for quite a while, being in and out of hospital since the summer. There will be no funeral service and the family have requested that any donations be made to the Health Fund.

The Club’s magazine is usually issued in time for our Ch show in November, with all the AGM & Club stuff being sent out later on in December. As there was no Ch show in November this year (it was held earlier in September at Darlington) a decision was made to save on postage etc and do just one big combined mailing instead.

So for all of you out there who may be wondering why you haven’t got your copy of Walkee Talkees – don’t panic, it will be with you shortly!!
