50 Breed Notes – LKA 2019

At LKA keesies were second in the ring after Lhasa’s for judge Dawn Gregory (Amikirs) (who last judged keesies at WKC in 2017) and she had drawn an entry of 33 dogs with 8 absentees. Yet again, Open Bitch was the largest class with 7 girls entered; but there were no entries in Puppy Bitch, Veteran Bitch or both Good Citizen Dog classes.

DCC with Best of Breed was Melanie Harris’ Ch Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees JW ShCM (Ch Am Ch Kemonts Skylines Game Boy (imp USA) x Ch Lady Godiva’s Guilty Pleasures with Neradmik (imp Fin)) with the RDCC going to Sue Pattison’s Serenaubach Full of Wonder (Quasars Brilliant Light van het Earlskamp x Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach)

It was a first big green card for Pauline Wilson’s Gallowtree Tassel (Enreveyar Elgar x Ednaaron Mayweed at Gallowtree) handled by Linda Morton. It is a shame that Pauline wasn’t able to be there to see Ethal win her first CC; but I think that Christmas had come early for her as she was still over the moon about it on Monday!!

The RBCC went to Sue and Alan Hill’s Whizzkees Ebony Silver for Plymkees JW ShCM (Luddelos Figaro with Valindale (Imp Swe) x Whizzkees Silver Slipper) and Best Puppy was Jean and Andy Fitches’ Samoykees Harbour Lights (Showtyme Admiraal The Mighty Sven x Samoykees Exclusive Moon (AI))

Last week Vikki Marshall and Arabesque at Devonia, were busy flying the Keesie flag as on Wednesday at Westbury and DCS Ghost ended up winning their Dog of the Year under Judge Vera Harcourt-Morris. The following day at Chippenham and DCS he repeated his success; having again won Best in Match from judge Wendy Andrews and then going on to win their Dog of the Year contest under judge Suzanne Humphries. A double DOTY in as many days – well done you!!

And finally, I have been asked by Melanie that the Keeshond Club would like to remind you that there are still a few Calendars available and that the closing date for Year Book adverts is 10th January. The form for the adverts can be found on the Keeshond Club website; or for either Calendar or Year Book enquires please contact Sue Wilkes at susan.wilkes24@hotmail.co.uk
