50 Breed Notes – LKA 2023

Two championship shows within 5 days at the same venue must have felt like déjà vu for some Keesie exhibitors, as on Thursday it was back down to Stafford for the last show of the year; LKA having moved from the NEC. The main difference being instead of the snow, fog and freezing conditions for BUBA, it was very, very wet. I dread to think what the ground must have been like on the Sunday, as apparently the tractor was busy pulling some cars off the grassed areas on Thursday!

Our judge was Liz Wogan (Deminiac) (who had last judged us at Crufts way back in 2011) Liz had drawn an entry of 41 Keesies with 12 absentees. There were no entries for either of the Good Citizen Dog Scheme Classes and the Junior Bitch was absent. We were scheduled second in the ring after 25 Schipperkes in the Sandylands Hall, which adjoins the main Bingley Hall. Judging started around 11.00am and was over and done with by 1.30am.
