North of England Keeshond Club Open Show
Wetherby March 5

It was a great pleasure to judge Keeshonden in England again. A lovely entry of good quality dogs although I have a few remarks to make. Heads were nice but I was appalled to discover that in some dogs spectacles were missing. Without them you will never get a nice Keeshond expression. Some dogs moved rather wide in front. Mouths were excellent and temperaments were superb. Coat structure was mostly good with a few exceptions. One needs to watch colour though as I found a few that looked yellow, although the hall may be partly to blame for this. I was very pleased with my winners and the overall type and quality and I thank all exhibitors for their sportsmanlike reactions to my decisions.
