Excellent entry of total 51 exhibits – together 53 entries Keeshond with 26 dogs and 27 bitches. This excellent number gave me a very interesting and enjoyable day. My winner became the male that won the Limit Dog class, Neradmik Kiss Chase With Lekkerbek, for me he represent both sex and breed well and with great respect to breed type. Close to him and RCC male came from Open Dog, Ch Rossvale’s Legacy For Lekkerbek also a high quality male with lot of breed quality. Among the bitches there were some excellent ones to compete for the CC and on the day I found the young JB, Neradmik Vanilla Ice Morvania, as my winner. Sure she have some time before she will be on the top but still she have the most beautiful head, soundness in body construction and other things that made her my winner with CC and BOS. RCC among the females went to the Open Bitch, Ch Amikirs Fabulicious Time JW, presented in a beautiful coat and lovely body where head and expression with pigment is up to what is requested in Keeshond. The venue is ok for going over and examine dogs even if light could be slightly stronger. Rings are big enough for Keeshond and with this amount of dogs in each class gives plenty of space to move and show. My overall opinion is that several were changing coat but the there were top coat enough to feel the texture. I seen in many areas and especially in Europe that coat is changing rather late during autumn and now it was already December and it means winter. Many with extremely strong muscles and in lovely condition. This means also majority of the dogs are able to run in free area and this is something I hope will continue. Mostly all had very nice heads. Pigment could be stronger in some individuals and the eye colour should be darker. Quality is mixed and some with cheeks that should be deeper in underjaw. Some with complete scissor bite and some with level bite. There was big variation on movement depending on angulation and overall construction. Majority were nice presented and in clean double coat with well off standing topcoat and enough undercoat Many were presented with good muscle and firm bodies with strong muscle in loin and thighs. Lovely temperament on all. Short neck comes often from the less angulated front and some also forward placed shoulder/upper arms. Bone overall of medium size balanced to the size of dogs. Some with a bit short chest but broad and deep enough to make space for heart and lungs. Congratulations to all the winners and especially CC and RCC dogs of both sex. Best puppy in breed was Levi Altere V Kees Uit De Polder’s. He is full of himself already nice grown and very sound with many nice breed details, lovely balanced. Handled nicely. It was my second time judging CC on Keeshond in UK and happy to be invited again. Wishing all people involved in Keeshond big luck in the future.
