Thank you to BUBA committee for the invitation to judge Keeshond’s at this show. I found type very mixed with a lot of dogs lacking the correct rounded ribcage and good bone. There were less light eyes than last time I judged, but movement left a lot to be desired in some cases.
PD (3) Two lovely puppies of different type, but both should do well. 1 Brunt’s Divi Drug Dar (Imp). A lovely puppy of 7 mths, with everything as it should be for this age, very well schooled, lovely head and expression, dark eye and well set ears, well developed body for his age, high tail set and strong bone, moved soundly, pleased to award him BP and delighted that he went on to Res BPIS. 2 Passmore’s Torrikees Crazy Love (Ai). Thought he would be my winner when he entered the ring, as he’s more mature than first, however, I would just like a bit more of him, but he has time, lovely outline, being very compact, coat coming in well and of correct colour and harsh texture, attractive head and expression with small neat ears. Was a bit unsettled standing but moved well both ways. 3 Wilkinson’s Wilkees Quicksilver.
PGD (3) 1 Barnsley & Baker’s Skathki King Of The Forest. Masculine boy with a lovely outline. Strong, sturdy body with good spring of rib, short back and well set tail. Masculine head and expression with good reach of neck and shoulder placement. In full coat of good colour and harsh texture. Moved soundly on well boned legs. Res CC. 2 Marshall’s Arabesque At Devonia (Imp Rus). Very attractive young boy of a different type, lovely head with nice expression, correct eye and neat ears, very nice outline with good reach of neck and high tail set, just needs time to develop in body, moveed and showed well. 3 Lush’s Ednaaron Moonlight.
LD (3) 1 Fusco’s Amikirs Lord Of The Bubbles. Mature boy in good coat of strong colour and correct texture, masculine expression, dark eyes, strong bone and neat feet, nice outline standing, moved on but needing to settle a bit in front today. 2 Marfleet’s Flatmeer Flaithri. Bigger male all round who could be seen a bit shorter in back, coat of good colour with correct harsh texture, strong, sturdy body, masculine head but would prefer smaller ears, good bone, moved well. 3 A At Devonia.
OD (7) A very mixed class. 1 Miles & Deans’ Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase With Lekkerbek. Sturdy, mature boy with attractive head and expression, correct dark eye and well set ears, short, compact body, good neck, shoulders and well rounded ribcage, sturdy bone and cat feet, moved very soundly giving him the CC. 2 Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonely. Smaller boy of different type but presenting a lovely outline when standing. Lovely foxy head with correct eye and neat ears which he used well. In excellent coat of lovely colour and defined markings with correct harsh texture, would just prefer a bit more of him and a bit unsettled on the move today. 3 Brunt’s Zandvoort Purrsonal Life.

PB (4) 1 Hill’s Whizkees Silver Spirit. Pretty puppy of 7 mths with feminine head and expression, showed well, coat coming along nicely, good body for her age with good reach of neck and high tail set, well boned legs and neat feet, moved steadily. BP. 2 Wilkins’ Whizkees Silver Spark. Litter sister to first but needing time to grow on a bit, similar remarks apply, nice shape, pretty head and moved well. 3 Brunt’s Alamazny Istockink Kadril Zodornaya.
JB (4, 2) Two pretty young batches. 1 Hickson’s Kichigai Uptown Girl. 12 mths, very confident and outgoing young girl with pretty feminine head, good eye and well carried ears, in super coat and condition, very good body for age, enough neck and lay of shoulder and high tail set, moved well when settled. Res CC. 2 Sharpe-Bale’s Neradmik Berrys Swansong. Pretty little girl who just needs a bit more confidence, perhaps not liking the hall. Attractive feminine head with dark eye and neat ears. Well bodied with short back, good reach of neck, high set tail, good bone and feet, moved soundly and when she relaxed could see her lovely shape, will maybe prefer the outdoor shows.
PGB (2) 1 McKean’s Kichigai It Takes Two. 12 mths, sister to junior winner and similar remarks apply, pretty girl with sweet feminine expression, good body with well sprung ribcage, in lovely coat of correct colour, good bone and moved soundly, sould have a bright future. 2 Wilkins’ Whizkees Opal Susie. Bigger, rangier bitch who was hard to assess as she needs more schooling both standing and on the move, in harsh coat of good colour and defined markings, good body and bone.
LB (3) 1 Lindsay’s Mezanda Melys Sparkles. Mature b in good harsh coat of excellent colour, good overall balance with good reach of neck and well ribbed body, moved very soundly on well boned legs and neat feet. 2 Newman’s Wolfswinkel Maria Ogren At Leazhond (ai). Pretty girl with sweet, feminine experience, neat ears which she used well, in nice coat, moved well in front but a touch close behind.
OB (9) A well filled but mixed class. 1 White’s Ch Neradmik Vanilla Ice Morvania. A lovely mature bitch I have always liked in excellent harsh coat of correct colour, good neck, shoulders and well ribbed, short and compact, lovely head with feminin expression, moved soundly at the correct pace. I feel that too many were ran too fast, which I think does nothing for their movement. Pleased to award her the CC and BOB. 2 Marshall’s Torrikees Made In Heaven At Devonia. Similar in type but just needing a bit more coat to finish the picture, very attractive bitch with lovely head, eye and ears, well made body with good spring of rib, good colour and markings, strong bone and cat feet, moved very soundly. 3 Hill’s Whizkees Ebony Silver For Plymkees JW ShCM.
VB (3) 1 Diver’s Ir Ch Kichigai Rare Edition At Murmansk Jun Ch CW11/12/18, CJW11 ShCM. Ten yrs old yes, but looking good for her age, smaller, in lovely coat and conditions and of strong colour, lovely body shape, being short and compact but would prefer a bit more length of leg, showed and moved well. BV.
