Report from North Of England Keeshond Club Championship show At Darlington Sunday 15th September
I had a very enjoyable day judging the Breed Club Championship show at Darlington.
Thank you to all the Committee for this very kind invitation. It was an honor to judge your Championship Show. Thank you, to my excellent and most experienced steward, Colin Barton, who kept everything running smoothly.
Thank you, to all who entered. I was overwhelmed at the entry and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to go over so many lovely dogs.
Overall, high quality. Good size and temperament, very few were in the larger size. Only a couple being on the smaller side. Good healthy coats that are “weatherproof”. Very pleased with the presentation, easy to go over and almost no one was scissored. So many with good stable movement. Veterans in top condition. Many of the dogs I judged have high international quality!
So many with correct colour and markings that is so important for this breed.
PD (1/1) 1. Miles, Cullens Skyline´s Outlander At Lekkerbek One year old with square proportions. Masculine head with correct expression and markings. Excellent ear carriage. Good neck. Correct length of back and a broad strong loin. Could have a bit more angulation in front. Good bone. Nice cat feet. Excellent tail carriage with a double curl. Excellent coat, texture and color. When settled he moves in a straight line. Charming temperament BEST PUPPY DOG.
JD (1/1) 1. Johnston´s and Atkinson´s Winkelstar Namid. A male on the smaller side. Full square. Very nice head and expression with almond eyes, correct ear carriage gives the Kees expression. Enough neck, short back. Well sprung in ribs. Could be a bit more angulated in the front. Excellent tail carriage, legs and feet. Clean, easy movement. Very good double coat with typical markings. Lovely temperament.
PGD (2/2) 1. Gate¨s Winklestar Alnair Via Lacetrom. Everything in proportion, a male a bit on the smaller side.Very good markings well developed body with god ribcage.Short back and a high set tail with double curl. Moves freely with pride. Has the right temperament and very well presented.2. Kwiecie´s Milan Grey Giant Tichauspitz. Larger male that gives a hint of Wolfspitz. A very dark head that did not show the characteristic spectacle markings. Masculine wedge shaped head rould in eye. Short nec, well developed body. High set tail with double curl. Moves with a short step. Nice temperament and well shown.
LD (5/3) 1. Downs Liefkees Assisi JW. A male with excellent size. Beautiful head and expresseion. Correct proportions. Nice topline. A bit open tail but well carried. Good body excellent colors. Moves really well. Not in full coat today. Well presented and a very nice temperament. 2. Burnett´s Torrikees We Will Rock You. Large male, rectangular proportions. Wel marked in a lighter color. Wedge shaped head with good masculinity. A bit round eye and wide ears. Nice topline and well carried double curl tail. Excellent coat quality. Moves with a heavy step. Very nice temperament and well presented. 3. Pattison´s Quest´Eastkees Del Monte Dragnone. A male on the smaller side. Very good proportions. Not in full coat today with almost too harsh coatquality. Good tailset with double curl. Well ribbed. Moves nice from the side a bit wide in front. He was not comfortable going over.
OD (7/6) 1. Ring´s Neradmik Shine On Harvey Moon. Two and a half year old Excellent size and proportions. Excellent color, markings and quality of coat. Beautiful wedge shaped head with masculinity. Short compact with nice topline and a high set double curled tail. Move freely with stability. Charming boy. RESERVE DOG CC 2. Fedeli´s Aragorn Elessar Elfiyskiy Berill. 2 years A male on the smaller side standing full square. Beautiful head and expresseion. Nice topline correct double curled tail. Well coated and well marked. Moves with stability coming and going. Excellent presentation and temperament.3. Rose´s Dianakees Inspector Morse at Esorkees. Two and a half year male with excellent proportions. Beautiful head and expression Masculine. Really good nec and topline correct tail. Very good color and markings. Moves a bit close behind and a bit wide in the front. A good looking boy.
VD (1/1) 1. Hickson´s Ch. Kichigai´s Only The Lonley. Nine year old Lovely Kees to look at. Excellent proportions and size. Top quality coat, color, markings and presentation. So well-constructed. Moves like a young dog. Very pleased to have met this gentleman! DOG CC, BEST OPPOSITE SEX, BEST VETERAN IN SHOW and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW
SVD (1/1) 1. Miles and Brown´s Ch Rossvale´s Legacy for Lekkerbek. Ten years old with excellent proportions, size and color. Well built with the very best forechest. Standing on good bone and correct cat feet. This is a male so well taken care of with full dentition. Very good temperament.
SBBED (1/1) 1, Saunders Liefkees Amore. A very appealing male in all parts but not in full coat today. Excellent size, masculine head and expression. Well built, with brisk, clean gait. Good colour and coat quality. Excellent presentation and temperament.
SNBBED (3/2) 1. Harris Ch Amikirs Lover Boy for Watchkees. A well built male with rectangular proportions. Beautiful masculine head and expression. Well sprung in ribs and a bit long in loin. High set, bit open, tail. Good bone a correct cat feet. Free clean movement. Excellent colour and markings. Well presented. 2. Rose´s Ch Rossvale Endeavour to Esorkees. Short masculine male. Nice head and expression, ribcage to his size. Excellent coat, colour and markings. This nice male could do and move much better with less weight.

MPB (1/1) Pattison´s Eastkees Amber Moon. Eight months Exellent size and square proportions. Feminine wedge shaped head with sweet expression. Correct ear carriage and size. Normal development for age with correct length of back. Short loin. Stands well on her legs. High set tail. Coming into a correct adult coat texture with good markings. Moves well from side and rear. Still needs to settle in front. Good temperament. BEST PUPPY BITCH BEST PUPPY IN SHOW
PB (1/1) Eastkees Lily Of The Valley Eleven months Very good size and proportions. Feminine head with very good expression. Well set ears. Well sprung in ribs for age. Short loin. Sound straight movement. Light coat colour with good quality and markings. Very happy outgoing temperament.
JB (3/1) 1. Marfleet´s Flatmeer Fleru´s Krystal. 16 months Well built, nice all over bitch with good breed type. Feminine head with a sweet expression. Well set ears, dark almond eyes. Good nec. Correct sprung of ribs. Well carried tail. Excellent coat, colour, quality and markings. Moves with stability. Very well presented and excellent temperament. RESERVE BITCH CC
PGB (3/2) Saunders Liefkees Aleida. Two years Excellent size and proportions. Really well developed body with a nice fore chest. Short loin and high set double curled tail. Has the distinctive movement for the breed Correct colour and markings, very nice to go over. Well presented. 2. Kwiecie´s Holly Ejmi-Lu. Three and a half years. A large bitch with good proportions that have more Wolfspitz type. Wedge shaped head that could show more femininity and visible markings. Excellent ear set. Strong built, up on legs. Well carried one curl tail. A darker over all colour. Black marks on the legs. Excellent coat quality. Moves with stability. Very good temperament.
LB (4/3) 1. Gate´s Winklestar Alsephina Via Lacetrom. Two years A very appealing bitch that catch the eye. Excellent size and proportions. So well built with the best fore chest of the day. Excellent coat quality with good colour and markings. Flawless movement. Top presentation and temperament. BITCH CC, BEST IN SHOW. 2. Johnston´s Tykees Full Of Chaos Excellent size and proportions. Very nice all over. Feminine head with nice expression. Well set ears, almond dark eyes 3. Hopkins Serenaubach Andromeda A smaller bitch that could be more up on legs. Wedge shaped head with feminine expression. Well set ears and dark almond eyes. Good body with short loin. Excellent coat, colour and markings. Moves well. Excellent temperament and presentation.
OB (6/5) 1. Ring´s Ch Neradmik Tantrams ´N Tiaras Excellent size standing full square. Very nice outline, well constructed. Short loin and high set tail Excellent coat, colour and markings. Moves clean and straight on good bone and cat feet. Very well presented. 2. Saunders Liefkees Adina Good size feminine bitch. Correct proportions, with correct sprung in ribs. Short loin, high set open tail. Very good coat, colour and markings. Excellent temperament and presentation 3. Fedeli´s FrCh Ostara Vita de la Lumiere D´hemera. Smaller bitch with good proportions. Ribcage with good depth. Moves well. A profuse coat with very good texture that almost makes her look a bit heavy. Moves well. Excellent presentation.
VB (2/1) 1. Gate´s Ch Lacetrom´s Shuna ShCM VW. Nine years Excellent size and proportions very feminine. A well built veteran in really good condition. Movement does not show her age at all. Lovely colour and markings, A bit soft coat. Well presented happy veteran.
SVB (2/2) 1. Gregory´s Ch Amikirs Bubblelicious JW. Twelve years in excellent condition. Good proportions and a nice side. Beautiful feminine head and expression. Good bite with full dentition. Well bodied with correct depth of brisket. Short loin and high set double curled tail. Moves like a young dog. Excellent coat, colour and markings. Presented in top condition. Good temperament. BEST VETERAN BITCH 2. Marfleet´s Flatmeer Fleurette. Twelve years A bitch that is sound and well constructed. Almost full square. Feminine head and expression, full dentition. High set double curled tail, short loin. Straight brisk movement. The colour of her coat shows that she is about to change coat. Good temperament and presentation.
GCB (1/1) Marfleet´s Flatmeer Fleurting Nine years old. Good size almost square. Feminine head with correct bite, missing some teeth. Normal body, a bit long in loin. Well set tail that have lost some coat. Good movement. A very happy social bitch.
