33 Breed Notes – Leeds, Paignton & B’mouth 2025

The show season is in in full flow, with a Ch show being held every weekend; miss doing one week’s notes for whatever reason – et voilà, another bumper set of notes!!

At Leeds Keesies were first in the ring with a 9.00am start for judge Tom Johnston (who last judged us at South Wales in 2023) and he had drawn an entry of 19 dogs with 4 absentees. There were no entries in Special Beginners Dog or Bitch, Junior Dog and both Post Graduate classes and judging was over just after 10.00am.

The DCC with Best of Breed went to Joan Miles, daughter Sarah Dean and the Cullen’s Ch Skyline’s Outlander at Lekkerbek (imp USA)(Am Ch Windrift’s Dirty Hairy x Am Ch Skyline’s Mine Eyes Have Seen) and the RDCC went to the Veteran winner, Hickson’s Ch Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition)

The BCC went to Andy and Jean’s Ch Sofia Loren Della Ginevrina (Imp Ita) (Carpe Diem Della Ginevrina x You Are My Everything Della Ginevrina) with the RBCC going to Gill Brunt’s Zandvoort Grace’s Secret (Ch Divnyi Drug Dar (Imp Rus) x Almaznyi Istochnik Tropicheskaya Noch (Imp Rus)) from the Limit class.

Best Puppy was Dawn Gregory’s Amikirs Karrie (Quest’ Eastkees Del Monte Dragnone (imp Ita) x Amikirs Doubly Delicious)

The following weekend it was down to the opposite end of the country for Paignton where ex KC chairman Tony Allcock was awarding CC’s in the breed for the first time. Keesies were second in the ring after 50 Afghans and he had drawn an entry of 23 dogs with 6 absentees. There were no entries in Special Beginners Dog or Bitch and Junior and Post Graduate Dog.

DCC with Best of Breed was Jane Ring’s Ch Neradmik Shine On Harvey Moon (Imp Can)((Ikon’s Shine In The Spotlight x Neradmik Norma Jean) RDCC was second in Open, Sue Lindsay’s Mezanda Mystic Starman (Ednaaron Moonlight x Mezanda Melys Sparkle)

Keeping it in the family, it was a crowning 3rd CC for Kenny’s sister, Jean Sharp Bale’s Neradmik Shimmer N’ Shine (Imp Can) (Ikon’s Shine In The Spotlight x Neradmik Norma Jean) Shimmy got her first CC at SKC in 2023 from Frank Kane and her second later on that year at South Wales from Tom Johnston. Her daughter, Jane Ring’s Neradmik Tinseltown at Baleissa (sire Torrikees Purple Rein) was Best Puppy.

RBCC was Vikki and Sean Marshall’s Devonia Black Pearl (Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Russ) x Torrikees Made In Heaven at Devonia)

Finally on Monday it was across the south coast to a very hot and humid Bournemouth, where Barry Blunden was judging Keesies without CC’s. We were third in the ring, and with judging started shortly after 11.00am and an entry of 11 dogs with 4 absentees, it was over by 11.45am

It was a good day for Vikki and Sean Marshall as their Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Rus) (Rus Ch Naidjel Iz Mirashela x Rus Ch Felicita Iz Mirashela) was Best Dog and his daughter Devonia Black Pearl (Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Russ) x Torrikees Made In Heaven at Devonia) going one better with Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

Reserve Best dog was Joan Miles, daughter Sarah Dean and the Cullen’s Ch Skyline’s Outlander at Lekkerbek (imp USA)(Am Ch Windrift’s Dirty Hairy x Am Ch Skyline’s Mine Eyes Have Seen) and Reserve Bitch and Best Puppy going to Alison Passmores’s Torrikees You Wear It Well (Jen’ndi’s New Adventure for La Lumiere D’hemera x Torrikees Freya (AI))
