37 Breed Notes – Richmond 2025

At Richmond, Keesies were third in the ring after 48 Bulldogs and 36 Chinese Crested for our judge Keith Baldwin (who was an emergency judge at Border Union 2023) and he had drawn an entry of just 11 dogs with 1 absentee. There were no entries Minor Puppy Dog, both Puppy and Post Graduate classes and Yearling and Limit Bitch. Judging started just before 2.0pm and was over around 3.10pm.

The DCC was Hickson’s Ch Only The Lonley (Bert von Ricara (imp Den) x Kichigai Special Edition) from Veteran with the RDCC going to the winner of Limit, Comperat & Truelove’s Bargeway Boomerang JW (Quest’ Eastkees Del Monte Dragnone (imp Ita) x Bargeway With Grace)

The BCC with Best of Breed was Val Tew’s Bargeway Crystal Clear (Torrikees Purple Rein x Ch Art Pride Bomb Explosive Beauty (imp Rus)) from Junior and the RBCC went to the Open class winner, Jean Sharp Bale’s Ch Neradmik Shimmer N’ Shine (Imp Can) (Ikon’s Shine In The Spotlight x Neradmik Norma Jean)
Best Puppy was Jane Ring’s Neradmik Tinseltown at Baleissa (Torrikees Purple Rein x Neradmik Shimmer N’ Shine (Imp Can))

A last-minute reminder from Joan Miles. In the spirit of thanking members for their support during the Club’s Centenary year the Committee has approved a subsidy for Keeshond Club members attending the Keeshond Breed Lunch at the Royal Kennel Club on 6th October 2025. This will reduce the cost for club members from £55 to £30.

At Darlington Ch show this Friday 12th, the North of England Keeshond Club’s Ch show judge is Sheila Jakeman and judging will start in Ring 18 at 9.15am, followed by the Darlington Ch show judge in Ring 19.
