Thank you very much for those of you that have supported me throughout my judging career, I really do appreciate it. I haven’t always been able to please everyone on the day, however I can honestly say I have always been true to myself and my type. I have decided this will be my last judging appointment as I feel some of the people showing now in this lovely breed just take things too personally and good sportsmanship is a rarity. I know it is a change for the breed and not everyone’s preference however, I appreciate those of you who used the ramp as it made life so much easier when going over the dogs and did not effect the outcome of any class placings.
Minor Puppy Dog: 1 Entries 0 Absentees 1st Hills’ Bargeway Dark Knight at Plymkees. 6-month-old and already of good size. Overall shape appeals to me, super body, short, compact with a high set tail. Colour needs to clear, groomed to perfection. Heavier in head than I would prefer at the moment, but this could change as he gets older. Carries enough weight so needs to be careful of him becoming too heavy as this may effect his front. Lovely to see this exhibitor back in the ring with a quality and promising puppy.
Puppy Dog 1 Entry 0 Absentees 1st Pattison’s Bergareds Silver Star at Eastkees (Swed Imp). Another 6-month-old puppy. Totally different in type to winner of Minor Puppy. Lovely head of correct proportions, good eyes and markings. Lovely neck and good shoulder. Compact body with a good tail set and tightly curled already. Pretty silver colour. Moved extremely well. I wished he was groomed to the same standard as the Minor Puppy winner.

Limit Dog – 2 Entries 0 Absentees 1st Saunders’s Liefkees Amore. Overall, a good dog which I have often admired from ringside. Pleasing head and well-set ears. Good neck and body. High set tail. Moved very well. A little more coat would complete the picture. 2nd Comperat and Truelove’s Bargeway Boomerang JW Stockier dog. Heavier in head but not unusual these days. Good body but short in neck. Beautiful colour. Good tail set. Lovely to go over. Moved well. Handled and presented well.
Open Dog – 4 Entries 2 Absentee 1st Fedeli’s Fr Ch Aragon Elessar El’fiyskiy Berill. Well what can I say about this beautiful dog. The only thing I would change is I would like more of him! Fits the picture perfectly and very much my type. I loved his overall shape. Good stocky body. Lovely neck, short backed, high set tail, beautiful tight, cat like feet. Moved as one with his handler. DCC and BOB. Pulled out in the last 6 in Utility Group. Thank you for entering. 2nd Harris’ Ch Amikirs Lover Boy for Watchkees A very typical Keeshond and well-deserved Champion. Nice head of good proportions. Slightly longer in back than 1, good neck. Ok tail set, showed well, good colour. Moved well. Different but acceptable in type.
Veteran Dog – 1 Entry 0 Absentees 1st Hicksons’ Ch Kichigai’s Only the Lonley VW. Very much a favourite of mine. 10 years old but sadly out of coat. My type again, Good colour and good movement. Lovely all-round dog especially for his age. Even in his underclothes well deserved the RDCC and BV.
Special Beginners Dog – 0 Entries
Minor Puppy Bitch – 1 Entry 0 Absentees 1st Newmans’ Tykees Don’t be Meanss for Leazehond. Larger puppy for her age, hopefully she will slowdown in growth. Heavier in type. Nice head with good eye. Good neck and shoulder. Carries too much weight for her age. Naughty on the move, a bit of a handful for her handler.
Puppy Bitch – 3 Entries 1 Absentee 1st Passmores’ Torrikees You Wear it Well. Overall a lovely shaped puppy. On the large side but still feminine and doesn’t need to grow any more. Nice head with good proportions and extremely pleasing eye. Good body, high set tail. Good legs and feet. Moved well but would like to see a bit more animation. Well deserved the BCC in the challenge. Also my BP. 2nd Fitches’ Samoykees Ippolitas Kisses Smaller and different in type than 1. Extremely good colour. Markings of face not clear. Longer in back, needs more length of leg to balance the picture. Moved well.
Junior Bitch – 2 Entries 1 Absentee 1st Gregorys’ Amikirs Karrie. Pretty head but overall picture did not fit my ideal Keeshond. Long back with a low set tail. Long coupled. Very good colour. Didn’t move well on the rear but front ok.
Post Graduate Bitch – 1 Entry 0 Absentee 1st Pattisons’ Eastkees Amber Moon. Very pretty bitch loved everything about her. On the smaller type but still within size range. Lovely head and expression. Good neck and front assembly pleased me. Nice colour, I wish again she had been presented better as it could make such a difference. Played up on the move.
Limit Bitch – 2 Entries 1 Absentee 1st Tews’ Bargeway Breeze On By. Loved this girl but sadly very out of coat. Very pretty head, good proportions and expression. Lovely to go over. Good neck and shoulders and short back. Moved very well. Everything to like. Another day, with coat everything could change.
Open Bitch – 4 Entries 1 Absentee 1st Mckeans’ Ch Kichigai It Takes Two at Yawren. This is a lovely girl who I have admired throughout her show career. Good size and shape. Lovely feminine head. Good angulation throughout although a little heavy. Loved her stance and moved very well. 2nd Fedeli’s Fr Ch Ostara Vita De La Lumiere D’hemera Gorgeous bitch and my hardest class of the day to judge. I love this girl and picked her out at Crufts when she won the RBCC. Unfortunately, she is just starting to look her age but still moves extremely well. 3rd Fitches’ Ch Nld Ch Sofia Loren Delia Ginevrina (Imp Ita) Jch
Veteran Bitch – 3 Entries 0 Absentees 1st Saunders’ Liefkees Adina. This is the best I have seen this girl looking. Although she shows age in her face there are no other signs of her growing old. Lovely shape, good neck and shoulders. Body in good proportion with her tail carried well over her back. Very nice to go over. Moved very well. Well deserved the RBCC 2nd Mckeans’ Ch Kichigai This Girl is Mine at Yawren. Lovely old lady, paler in colour but great to go over. Nice shape. Nothing to complain about but weight could become an issue if she gets any heavier. Moved well. 3rd Gregorys’ Ch Amikirs Bubblelicious
Special Beginners Bitch – 0 Entries 0 Absentees
