22 Breed Notes – Bath 2026

Utility day at Bath was forecast to be the hottest Bank Holiday Monday on record and it most certainly was; even up here in Yorkshire it was ‘cracking slabs’ weather!! Our judge, Donna Whincup, was awarding CC’s for the first time and well done her for writing such a prompt critique! She had drawn an entry of 27 Keesies with 3 absentees; we were second in the ring after 32 Lhasa’s and judging started at 11.30am and was over with by 1.00pm. There were no entries in either of the Minor Puppy or Special Beginners classes and the rest of the classes had one or two dogs entered with Open Dog being the largest with 5 entries.

A third and crowning DCC went to the winner of Open, Jane Saunders Liefkees Amore (Ch Quasars Brilliant Light van het Earlskamp Serenaubach x Liefkees Adina) Peter won his first CC at the NoEKC Ch show in 2025 from Caroline Kisko and his 2nd came a few weeks later at LKA under Keith Nathan. It was another RDCC with Best Puppy for Mel Harris & Jean Sharp-Bale’s Neradmik Shooting Star (Ch Aragorn Elessar Elfiyskiy Berill x Ch Neradmik Pandora’s Box)

Winning a second BCC with Best of Breed was Vikki & Sean Marshall’s Devonia Black Pearl (Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Russ) x Torrikees Made In Heaven at Devonia) from Open, with the RBCC going to the Limit winner, Caron Bell’s Allforus Miracle of Love (Torrikees Crazy Love x Allforus Game Set N’Match)

Some sad news that Tom Gate passed away last week; he was part of the Lacetrom affix with Caroline and daughter Michelle Wright. Tom’s funeral will be held at Ayton Parish Church, Eyemouth. Berwick TD14 5RH on Thursday 4th June at 10.15am.
