39 Breed Notes – Richmond 2026

At Richmond, Keesies were again first in the ring with a 9.00am start for judge Marion Sargent (her first appointment was at Bath in 2024) and she had drawn an entry of 16 Keesies with 2 absentees. There were no entries in any of the Puppy classes, Yearling Dog and the Veteran Bitch was absent.

It was a crowning 3rd CC for Ann Downs’ Liefkees Assisi JW (Ch Quasars Brilliant Light van het Earlskamp Serenaubach x Liefkees Adina) from Open. Steve’s 1st CC was at the Keeshond Club’s Ch show in 2023 from Melanie Reed Peck, and his second was last week, again at the Keeshond Club’s Ch show from Angelika Rubens

RDCC from Veteran was Sean and Vikki Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia Imp Rus (Rus Ch Naidjel iz Mirashela x Rus Ch Felicita iz Mirashela) winner of the Veteran class.

Winning her second CC with Best of Breed was Tyra Church’s Tykees We Go Solo (Shelderon Stemmig Sage with Tykees x Leazehond Amber Steppes for Tykees) from Open and handled by her daughter Elle; and a first RBCC going to Carol Bardsley’s Neradmik A New Dawn at Skathki (Ch Aragorn Elessar Elfiyskiy Berill x Ch Neradmik Pandora’s Box) from Junior.

Sue Smith (Sueacres) has drawn an entry of 33 Keesies for the NoEKC’s Ch show held in partnership with Darlington. The Club’s show will start half an hour after the completion of Darlington’s judging, in the adjacent ring – number 27
