Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to Judge the start of an important Year for the Club, their 75th Anniversary year,
Minor Puppy Dog (1) 1st : Davies’s Rossvale Frankly My Dear Kyross. A lovely 6 ½ m Baby. Makes a good picture with a very good coat of good colour. Good dark eye. Excellent tail with tight twist and very good coming and going Sound Best Puppy in Show
Puppy Dog (1) 1st : Lush’s Bushkees Love in a Mist 9m. Strong head with a dark eye, good reach of neck, good tail set, very good coat with clear define markings. Sound promising puppy.
Junior Dog (4-1) All these young dogs were very distracted. I found out afterwards that there had been a bitch in season in the hall from very early on at the start of judging. This is so unfair especially to the young lads who do not know how to cope with their natural instincts.
1st : Hopkins Helkeesen Regal Surfer Among Serenaubach. 15m Beautiful head with good proportions, good dark eye with well defined spectacles, very well placed ears, good length of neck into good shoulders, good top line, tight tail set well placed, good quality silver/black coat, sound Res Best Dog. 2nd : Brunts Sueacres Diamond of Zandvort. This is a very good Keeshond with a good head with very well placed ears of nice shape, good tail set, in very good coat, it was very difficult to assess his movement. Probabley due to the above mentioned distraction. Just preferred the shortness of 1. 3rd : Agar-Bates Helkeesen Still Surfin. 15m This lad has a super head with lovely dark eyes, well marked spectacles, very good tail set, good coat of excellent quality and colour; but just did not want to use his ears. litter brother to 1st. this was a class of very promising young dogs.
Novice Dog (1) 1st : Agar-Bates Helkeesen Still Surfin
Post Grad.Dog 1st : Brunts Sueacres Iced Diamond of Zandvort. 2nd : Watson’s Pommary Magic Tricks. A nice dog with a strong head, very good bone but carrying to much weight.
Limit Dog (1) 1st : Gate’s Valindale What do you Think About Lacetrom. I am sorry but my notes on this dog have disappeared.
Open Dog (3) 1st : Day’s CH. Allforus Dice Master For Spitzcav JW Sh.CM. This dog presents himself very well. Lovely head with well placed and shaped ears, good dark eyes and well pencilled spectacles. Good top line and well placed tail with plenty of pluming making a well balanced dog. Beautiful coat and colour moved well to get Best Dog, but was out moved in the challenge by the girls for B.O.B.
Not Bred By (5) 1st : Miles Allforus Frosting over Lekkerbek JW Sh.Cm. Very good head and expression on this lad with nice spectacles, ears of very good shape, good front, good tail set, excellent top line, good coat colour, would like a little more on the trousers to make a lovely balanced dog. This dog moves really well. 2nd : Buchkees Love In A Mist. 3rd : Helkeesen Still Surfin
Minor Puppy Bitch (2) 1st : Brown’s Rossvale Scarlett’s Secret. 2nd : Williams Rossvale Miss Melanie at Yontan Two super Puppies, litter sisters 6mns. Both had good heads with lovely small ears, good dark eyes very well placed tails. 1st just had the better coat colour and a tad shorter both moved soudly. What a good litter as the best puppy in show was litter brother congrats. To the breeder.
Puppy Bitch (2) 1st : Foster & Pearson’s Thorsdale Secret Witch. 11m Feminine head with very good markings in very good coat sound. 2nd : Pattison’s Eastkees Whoop’s A Daisy. 10m had a good balanced head with dark eyes moved soundly.
Junior Bitch (5-1) 1st : Williams Allforus Luck Lady for Yontan. 17m Beautifully marked Black/Silver Coat. Head developing nicely with good ear set, nice almond eyes with clear spectacles, very good top line, sound. 2nd : Palmer’s Sueacres Silver Strand. 15m This is a pretty girl with good markings, very well placed ears, good tail set, just running up behind – hopefully this will sort its self out soon. 3rd : Gates Lacetrom Cruivie
Novice Bitch (4-3) 1st : Sueacres Silver Strand
Post Grad. Bitch (9-2) 1st : Atkinson’s Allforus Dice with me at Winklestar. Just between coats. Nice girl with a good head, nice ear placement complimented with dark eyes and well marked spectacles. this sound girl stood short. 2nd : Mcintosh & Burdon’s Whizzkees Onyx Solitair of Shelderon Has a very good coat, colour and excellent tail set, moved soundly but preferred the smaller ears of the 1st. 3rd : Barbour’s Russkoe Serebro Posh Totty at Cillakees (Imp)
Limit Bitch 1st : Pattison’s Eastkees Say No More. Lovely Keesie head with good bright expression, neat ears and dark eyes, as with all my winners very good specs. Good coat colour and tight tail set. To be critical would like her presented better. 2nd : Gregory Neradmik Scandalous at Natlou Very good coat of good colour, a pretty girl, good top line & tail set as the 1st she is nice and short, just preferred the ear shape of 1st. 3rd : Williams Allforus Crystal Dream for Yontan
Open Bitch ((4-1) 1st : Pattison Eastkees Winter Mist. Although not the best presented this was a lovely sound girl with an excellent head. v.g. ear placement, good neck onto good sholders and a good top line. Please make more of this lovely girl. 2nd : Smith’s Eastkees Diamond Image for Sueacres. Beautifully presented girl but just too wide in front for top honours.
Veteran Bitch (3-1) 1st : Stubbins Norkees Special Edition at Vandersee 7 1/2yrs. Plenty to like, nice and short, good head, well balanced, very good coat colour, moved well. 2nd : Marfleet Flatmeer Fleur DeLys 9yr. This is a very sound girl with an excellent ear set on a good head, unfortunately she left her coat at home.
Vintage (1) 1st : Agar-Bate’s Martellkees Dinky Di. 10 1/2 Stood on her own but what a girl. Beautiful colour, super head very good top line with good tail set and oh so sound. Best Veteran in Show
Breeders Bitch (2) 1st : Gregory’s CH. Amikirs Adorabubble. Could see why she is made up, a very nice Keesie girl. An excellent head with desired Ivy shaped ears & dark eyes complimented with good spectacles. Good top line with good tight tail set, excellent coat colour and sound. Res Best Bitch & Res.Best In Show,
Special Not bred by. 1st : Eggleston’s Martellkees Forget Me Not By Ricara. There is a time when these show dogs just pull out all the stops and to-day this girl did that. So pretty, such a good head, dark eyes, well placed ears set on a good reach of neck on to well placed shoulders; good top line with an excellent tail set, I suppose she may not have quite as strong colour but I could forgive as she out shone everyone to-day. pleased to award her Best In Show.
