Darlington Dog Show Society – Statement
The Officers and Committee of the Darlington Dog Show Society regret to announce the cancellation of the forthcoming show to be held 18-20 September 2020.
We have taken note of the recent Government guidance and the strong recommendation made by the Kennel Club, on 13th May, that in the light of the continued restrictions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic that all forthcoming events until the end of September should be cancelled.
Many factors were to be taken into consideration, particularly the safety & welfare of exhibitors, judges, stewards, spectators, volunteers, trade stand holders, officers, and committee. Along with the availability of the of the venue, hotel, suppliers, and contractors.
The society share your disappointment and sadness that this cancellation will bring but look forward to seeing you all at our 2021 show to be held 17-19 September.
Higham Press will refund all entry fees.
The secretary will write to all 2020 judges explaining the situation.
