27/04/2020 – East of England Championship and Open Show update
In the interests of public health, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the East of England Championship Dog Show, Open Show and Just Dogs Live due to be held from the 8th to 12th July 2020. Like many other major events, we have concluded that it is now impossible for us to plan safely for the show this year.
The health and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, traders, judges and stewards are of paramount importance to us at The East of England.
Our event is a cherished and very special show, one of the highlights of the showing season and a valued qualifier for Crufts. We are saddened that the show will not go ahead but feel in this unprecedented time with just over two months to the show we have no other option. We know our audience would not wish to place an unnecessary burden on our public services at this unprecedented time, they are better focussed on the health of the nation.
With so little time left it would also be regrettable to put on a show that would be beneath our expectations and high standards.
For those exhibitors who have entered online refunds will be issued soon. Any cheques received that have not yet been presented will be destroyed. Any cheques already paid into our bank will be refunded. All traders booked will also be refunded. In all instances please be patient and allow time for your fees to be refunded.
We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s show.
For your diary the dates for 2021 are the 7th July (Open Show) and 9th to 11th July 2021 (Championship Show and Just Dogs Live).
